New owner. I have gotten deluxe subs there in the past. Got one to night. It was the worst. Deluxe sub supposed to have ham, pepperoni, mushrooms and lettuce. I got a very thin ham other the front of the sandwich. A few pepperoni 5 little peaces of mushroom and a ton of lettuce and a loat of mayo. It was gross.

Rolled the dice with Sara’s pizza new ownership. Loved the last owners, real Sicilian made! Now I’m not one to make reviews and complain, never have. However this was pretty bad and justified a public complaint. The sauce I assume was straight out of a can, the sub was soggy, forgot a topping, the remaining meat was falling out it was just a sloppy mess. Asked for a cheese bread, thinking I’d get breadsticks with cheese on them..nope I got a garlic bread with cheese on it. Won’t be goin back. ✌️

Coming from a picky Italian - this place is great.
It reminds me of the small pocket of Italian immigrants in Northern Minnesota with some of the best Italian food in the Midwest.
The first time we ordered we were double charged, we called and it was taken care of that night. We were a little put off but the food was great and accidents happen.
Ordered again tonight - a custom pizza and the spicy chicken.

THIS is not the same Sara’s pizza. Get food from literally anywhere else. Had one bite and tossed it. Sausage is just lightly seasoned ground pork and the pepperoni tasted bad. Such a shame Hudsonville lost its most iconic restaurant.

Tried two pizzas from here unfortunately the chicken on the chicken Alfredo pizza seemed undercooked and lacking flavor. The pepperoni pizza had a good sauce but there was something off about the cheese.
I felt like both pizzas just lacked a lot of flavor and I wasn’t a big fan of the crust either.
The cheese breadsticks also seemed to be missing any sort of flavor.
Stone oven cooked goodness from a little mom and pop restaurant.
- 14” Pizza: Ordered pepperoni, sausage, and bacon and it was a great balance of everything. The cheese was spot on and the toppings were a great amount for the pizza. The pepperoni was a bit on the lighter side, but it honestly seemed calculated for the best flavor in this case.
The pizza texture was a bit on the tougher side and darker cooked, but that comes with the stone oven cooking. It is a different way of cooking that has a strong following out there. I am not a big fan of the method, but I really enjoyed this pizza nonetheless.
A few others in our party ordered subs and they seemed a bit on the burned side and probably for much the same reason. I cannot speak beyond that for them.
- Conclusion: I’ve been recommended this place and I can see why. They have been around for almost 40 years and it is a cozy little place in Hudsonville. Give them a try!

I am gluten intolerant so I love Sara‘s pizza. You can get gluten-free pizza, cheese bread, garlic bread, pasta, breadsticks, and even subs! So many options and everything is good. Our family who is not gluten-free enjoyed their food as well. Very friendly service. We will definitely be ordering here regularly.
