I wish I would have read these reviews before I went. I recently visited the Taco John's location in Hudsonville, Michigan, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. This marks the second time I've encountered issues at this particular restaurant.During my recent visit, I encountered an unreasonably long wait time in the drive-through, despite being the only customer in line. However, the most troubling aspect of my visit was the inappropriate behavior of the manager on duty.When I placed my order for three steak tacos and requested extra cilantro, I was surprised to learn that cilantro was not available. In response, I innocently remarked about finding it unusual for a Mexican restaurant not to have cilantro. However, the individual I was speaking to, whom I later learned was the manager, hastily accused me of making a racist comment. This accusation is akin to blaming someone for being surprised that an Italian restaurant lacks oregano and Parmesan cheese, or being astounded that a Chinese restaurant doesn't have soy sauce and rice. What?I attempted to address the matter in person, but my concerns were met with further hostility and dismissal from the manager.I can't help but wonder if the reviews would look different if we filtered out comments from friends and family of employees who may be biased. Would the rating still be a solid 3? No way. I've already reached out to the company about my experience. I have never done that before.

Hudsonville Mi. First time was going to try them out Not well staffed had 3 employees working that I seen 3 cars in the drive up so I went inside to order stand there for 5 mins to place my order and the employee just ignored me good thing Wendy’s is right next door so I went there better prices at Wendy’s anyways.

Friendly staff! Absolutely love this place. One of the employees was super nice to my son & gave him churros. I highly recommend eating here, whether it be for take out or dining in.

The food was great, the service was alittle slow but we were in no rush so we gladly waited. The potato tots are and will always be my favorite, lots of stuff some one with celiac can eatDietary restrictions: I have celiac and I can eat the tacos with a corn tortilla, or just the hard shell ones!

Have come for chicken tacos before several times and they are always very hard and crunchy with little chicken, for 3$ you can almost go authentic tacos.

I hadn’t been to a Taco John’s before, so I decided to try them one morning for breakfast. It looked closed and took a bit to get an employee on the intercom, but I did manage to get my order. I think only one employee might have been running the whole operation. That being said, the food was decent. I’d consider it at least on par with a Taco Bell, and the potatoes were very good. I suppose I’ll try their regular meals sometime, but it wasn’t a huge improvement over other fast food options.

BIGGER? BETTER? WHATEVER! The 2 taco meal was the most pathetic attempt at tacos I have ever seen! Very little meat and must have forgot the cheese all for $10... the ratings say it all! 2.9! Don't bother trying total ripoff

made me come inside to pick up my online drive through order… wasn’t pissed till the drive thru chick gave me attitude and said i didn’t actually put it as drive through. i double checked my app and i most definitely did. had to hobble in there on a sprained ankle (which is why i did a drive through order) to get my food. next time check the receipt (and your attitude) babe! long time customer and karl the manager is a G but some of y’all need to chill out. i’ve been in food and customer service since i was 15 so i get it but holy hell. just wanted some tacos

Extremely slow service. We were one of two customers in the restaurant. There were no employees up front to take our order so we used the kiosk to place a simple 3 item order. We waited close to 30 minutes to receive our food. It was cold by the time it was handed off to us. Definitely not worth the money or the wait. I’m not sure what caused the slowdown but I don’t think we’ll be back to Taco John’s again.

We went to grab a late dinner tonight. When we pulled in the parking lot the employees turned off all the lights and locked the doors with an hour until closing time. We then pulled up to order through the drive through, we had to wait quite a while to have an employee help us. On top of that the employees were rude and not attentive at all. We never got asked if we needed hot or mild sauce or if we needed a receipt.
