I had a great lunch here today, excellent service, Alicia B was super and knowledgeable of the menu items. My Arugula and Butternut squash salad was very delicious. Even the ladies room is very nicely decorated and makes you happy you stopped in there.Very nice place to go, they pay attention to details, and it shows!I would recommend this nice restaurant to anyone!
Went with a group of 8. Some people liked their meals, others thought just average. Very loud atmosphere - lively. Waitress had issues with the bills - took 4 tries to get it right. Live music was just starting as we were getting ready to leave.
Yummy food. Great gluten free options !
Absolutely loved this place! The food was incredible & we honestly loved the variety each of us had. Kim was the sweetest server! 10/10 highly recommend!
The food was absolutely amazing & our service (Thanks Kim!!) was wonderful!! Can’t wait to come back!
Burger was pretty good, but kind of dry. Waitress was pretty good, but took a long time to bring the check and there were only a few people in there at the time.
The burger was SO good. And the atmosphere was great. Great music, cute decor, and VERY clean. Fries were awesome. Fancy, but not too fancy.
Had the best lunch today the Derby Tavern, Cuban sandwich and pretzels with cheese were amazing!!! Delicious food, great service, highly recommend!!!
Great place. A bit pricey for the area but you get what you pay for. The food is just better quality. The owners also donated money to help the library and I’ll never forget that.

Amazing burger and great complimenting fries!
- The Derby Burger - $14: Medium to high quality meat and it was delicious! The half pound patty was a little charred on the outside, but VERY juicy on the inside. There was a bit of seasoning that was almost undetectable because it complimented the savory flavors so well.
The toppings were good. There wasn’t a lot of onion, but it fit the flavors just right that way. The burger overall was hardy. It was a bit taller (but I have a big mouth).
- Fries: Wonderful! Medium cut with a slight coating that added a great hardy flavor. It complimented the burger perfectly.
- Conclusion: I would HIGHLY recommend this place. The food is local (RIGHT down the road) and great quality. I’d put them in the top 20 or maybe top 10 in the Greater Grand Rapids area all things considered. It was a great value, too!!
Work provided on a Thursday for lunch. It was takeout.

Absolutely so delicious, please never take the potato gnocchi dish off of the menu, or I will demand the secret recipe! Lol! We plan on visiting regularly since we live in the neighborhood!

Over the weekend, my wife and I had dinner at The Derby Tavern with another couple, and we really enjoyed it. The food was great—I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and I’d definitely recommend it. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, and our server, Emerly, was attentive and friendly! We’re looking forward to coming back again!
