I don't do bars a lot and have not in a long time but this is a very mature bar the people that come are very respectful and friendly the service is beyond good as well the drinks and food the also the prices are very reasonable

My friends and I decided to go to Idlewild for the July 20th festival. The people we met were very friendly, however, at the end of the festival we decided to visit Peyton’s Bar and Grill for food. When we entered we had several tables to choose from. We grabbed a table 2nd from the door. We sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for service. Everyone there was in loud conversation, and the place started to fill. After customers occupied the tables to our left and right. We stilled waited for service, none! As we watched the waitress approach we felt relief, until she walked right past our table and took orders from the people that had just sat at the table behind us. Left me with a feeling that this is just a neighborhood hang out and not a place for visitors. We all left without service.

The catfish was pretty amazing. Bartender/waitress was very friendly. Our first time here and we were pleased. We will be back.
