Great food! Best BBQ I've had in long time. The pies were the sweet treat ending for a perfect summer night.
Excellent price for the decent amount of food you get. The pulled pork and the pulled chicken were tender, juicy, and flavorful. It would have been nice if the corn muffin had been served heated.
I LOVE this place! I'm a senior on S.S., but once a month, I treat myself to dinner delivered from Papa and Ooma's. The portions are very generous, so when I order a dinner, it's enough for two days! The meat is so juicy. I loved the smoked chicken I ordered last time. I also love their macaroni and cheese and coconut cream pie. Their food beats any fast food restaurant around! I called one day, and in less than 10 minutes, I had my order! It was hot and packaged well. One time, however, a DoorDash person tipped my food cartons sideways to store in her insulated bag, and it made a mess of everything, but her heart was in the right place. If there was one thing I would like to see different, it would be the drinks... Like, maybe offer milk or coffee. PS...My Pomeranian Teddy goes into super beg mode when I get my food!
Catered our wedding and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. process was easy, food was delicious, they served for us and are genuine people! Also, their food truck in Ionia is a MUST STOP always!
The food- The picnic tables- The people- The customer service- THE BEEF & NOODLES- Burnt ends- Bacon potatoes & cherry almond whip! Woof!!! 200/10
Great ribs. Mac and cheese was very good.

Everything Awesome
Greg was wonderful to work with. He was very accommodating to our shift needs for a catered lunch. Very easy to work with. Food was delicious.
Good BBQ for a little northern town! The pulled pork and burnt ends had good smoke flavor. Will be back to see what else the menu has to offer!

absolutely amazing food!
Let me start by saying I don’t enjoy leaving bad reviews. I always give the benefit of the doubt and give people second chances. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, when you give people a chance for redemption they end up disappointing you again. There are only a couple of reasons I would leave a food establishment a bad review. #1 an unsanitary establishment and #2 false advertising. Cleanliness and food safety are not a joke. You can make someone sick and even kill them. As far as false advertising, I should get what I was told I was paying for. With that being said, I was a regular customer at this establishment because I enjoy BBQ. Specifically, I went to Papa and Ooma’s because they sell burnt ends. They advertise a 1/2 lb of burnt ends for $12. That is pretty steep for 8 oz of meat but it’s not the real issue. The issue here is on every occasion that I purchased various weights of burnt ends, the order was always extremely under weight. I always order the ends to go and when I get home I weigh them. My scale is calibrated perfectly and every time I weighed the meat it was under weight anywhere between 2-4oz. Thats a lot of meat your missing when your only buying 1 lb. So Im paying $24 for 12oz? That is outrageous!! I’ve brought it to they’re attention on every occasion and they apologize, tell me it’s been weighed, and when I get home it’s short again… I was patient and kind every time I spoke with them. I just want what I paid for and nothing less. Sadly, I will not be returning.
This place is valid. I would come back and try every item on the menu.
The brisket is amazing.
Delicious food! I had a pulled beef sandwich, mac and cheese, and bacon potatoes. Had a very friendly experience with the woman I assume is Ooma! Love supporting this local business!
