I'm leaving ZERO stars if I could We our out of town visitors, the food is great.......when you do get it. We came in today for breakfast, arrived at 11am. We ordered and waited patiently as it was busy. Fast forward to close to 12:20, still no food, customers at the table next to us had arrived 30 minutes after us, and had eaten and were paying to leave at this time. I understand you're busy......but and hour and a half if ridiculous.

Stopped here for lunch but ended up getting breakfast. I had the stuffed hash browns which were very good. One had pumpkin pie pancakes, also good. Grilled cheese and an excellent bowl of chili for the other. Very friendly service and reasonable prices.

We have been coming here for years. While we are disappointed about Tracy and crew no longer being there, what is really disappointing is the lack of service and the quality of the products. As a former employee in the food service industry, I was compassionate for the first month, but now it is just ridiculous. Wait staff is not professional. Eggs have been overcooked, orders incomplete, they changed their American Fries and how they serve many of their staple items. The breakfast burrito is half the size it used to be for the same price. We used to rave about this place to friends, now we will be driving 20 minutes or more when we go out to breakfast.

Being a local here in Irons this used to be a 5 star place with the staff and food. Unfortunately with new owners and staff the food and service are now a big disappointment! Hoping they can get back to the Irons Cafe we have known and loved.

I work at the irons post office and order to go, they always have my order ready for me (yes even under the new management and hires) the food is always amazing and I always recommend everyone there! Great little local restaurant with very affordable prices!

Aug 25. 2019. Terrible service. Long wait times with plenty of staff and not very many customers. The food was in small quantity and over cooked. When paying we weren't even asked how everything was. We had to ask for straws, menus, silverware and our bill. We will not be returning.

I'm sorry, for any bad experiences that anyone has here. It is totally out of my hands.There are a lot of things going on at the moment. Unfortunately, the usual kitchen and severing staff aren't at the cafe, nor am I. It is under new management at the moment. I have worked for Joe, for 14 years and longer for the cafe. It saddens me that all this is happening, the cafe has always been my home. The staff and I have prided ourselves on giving the public the best food and service to our ability. If I could give this 0 stars I would. We have been eating at Irons Cafe for many years during the summer months... the food has always been great and the service top notch. This experience was the worst ever. The owner passed away and Tracy one of the lead servers and managers took over after he passed. She did an excellent job updating the menu and improving the quality of ingredients. It was always good but she made it excellent. Apparently in the last 6 days the owners son decided to take over unexpectedly... we waited over an hour for food. I ordered 3 fried eggs with cheese and green pepper. The green peppers were discolored and brown, I recieved only one egg yolk. My husband order was also recieved incorrect. The food was greasy and not good.

The food was always good but now that there is a new wait staff services it's friendlier and attentive I no longer have to wait for coffee refill or someone asking if I need anything after my meal comes. Love it!!

Been coming here for years. The longtime owner passed away recently and the main employee Tracy took over and it improved even more. This last week was a complete 180. The deceased owner's son decided to take over and OMG. I wish Gordon Ramsay would show up just to lose it on him. Food was horrible, wait was forever, food tickets stacked up, order was incorrect, and overall horrible experience. I should have known better when on Saturday morning at 0730 and maybe 6 vehicles in the lot. Normally it would be pretty full and all of the locals would be in there. After 1 hour, maybe another person showed up...go to Wellston or somewhere else. There is no way this will stay open more than a month.
