This place was a welcome surprise. It's unassuming, tucked out of the way near the bowling alley...frankly, I had resisted going there for quite a while but I'm so glad I changed my mind! I've been twice now, and I strongly recommend fried anything... the mushrooms and the pickle planks are fantastic and made fresh. Huge servings of both but so good. My partner had a reuben that he said was maybe the best he'd ever had. The chicken wrap was great... the chicken sandwich was....a chicken sandwich, but it had a couple of nice strips of bacon and was good. Service was great both times and the manager is engaged and personable. Even the recorded music was fun! I'm really happy to recommend this place.
The food is great here but there wasn't enough help. It was a Sunday evening and the poor waitresses who were there were overwhelmed! That's not fair to them or the ones who are waiting on their orders. Call in more people!

I go up to Marquette annually because the UP is absolutely gorgeous, and I like to explore new sights and sounds. I went here with some friends from Milwaukee - we know our beer and bar food.For food, we got a sampling of a bit of everything: buffalo chicken flatbread, cudighi sliders, and fried mushrooms. Everything was bursting with flavor. The mushrooms had the same juiciness as a perfectly fried chicken thigh. The cudighi had several aromatics that sets it apart from others in the area.The beers were also fantastic. Between the three of us we tried half of their late summer drafts. One that stood out was the cherry wheat ale. Wisconsin prides itself on its ales and the cherries from Door County. The front end had a pleasant punch of cherry, then right before it started to get cloying, it leveled out with this amazing wheat taste that evolved over your pallet.Atmospherically, it doesn't stand out much. It kind of looks like a Bud Light commercial. However, the simple layout makes it very easy to see across the entire joint, making it really easy to get the attention of servers.

I was here with my family for dinner. It was very busy and they were short staffed, but the service was still amazing! I didn’t catch our server’s name but she was very sparkly! She was pleasant and attentive. The food was great- especially the fried pickles. Would definitely recommend.
