I’m a sucker for the Lasagna and famous garlic bread. I also enjoy their salad with tasty house dressing. Would die for that recipe.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little apprehensive to eat here. Ishpeming is getting pretty run down but, as a long time Villa Capri fan, I needed to find my UP italian fix. Mama Mias not only did not disappoint, it was impressive. I ordered take out. Was provided with generous portions, plenty of flavorful sauce, delicious bread and friendly service. Went to the Casa the next day, awful and overpriced. SUPPORT MAMA MIAS!!! They are still doing it right in ol Ishpeming. Worth the trip!! Thank you!

My husband and I got take out. Upon arriving home we realized we were not given bread. We called and drove back to get it. Once we sat down to eat, my husband's order was wrong. It wasn't the pasta he ordered and we paid extra for two meatballs and got zero meatballs. I ordered gnocchi and they were raw. I had to put them in the oven for 30 minutes to be able to eat them. We will not be back.

From Chicagoland area, staying at an Airbnb in this town. 1 year wedding anniversary last night so we came here for dinner. Good deal if you get the dinner vs a la carte; which includes soup, salad, bread, the entree, & ice cream lol. Soup & salad were simple but decent tasting. Bread was like Texas toast; insanely buttery & garlicy. My entree was ok- I ordered the Fettucine Primavera Alfredo, didn’t realize the veggies would be drenched in the sauce as well. My wife got the gnocchi with meat sauce; she said it was gummy & the sauce tasted like canned sauce with no seasonings. Our vanilla ice cream was good. Our server was very attentive & kind; she had beautiful blue eyes but I didn’t catch her name. Oh I also got the summer sangria (light, reminded me of grapefruit) & my wife got the house Cabernet Sauvignon for drinks.

I ordered shrimp scampi and was served a huge pile of sticky linguine with butter and the shrimp was dipped in Parmesan cheese. It was disgusting. The cook (chef) should learn how to make shrimp scampi.

I see that most of the reviews are for people who are in and got great service. Maybe that's the trick to getting a good experience here. The order was running behind, that's fine. But we tried to call with no answer, then we get there and are told that they hadn't even looked at the order (after being told they just got it). Then got the door shut in our face after being told it'll be another 25-30 mins.
The food was bland, the only thing that was decent was the chicken parm. Alfredo was basically reduced milk/cream with no cheese or salt.

The service is fantastic, the prices are very good for the REAL home-cooked food they serve and the interior is super cute! We will definitely come back if we are ever back in town!!

Absolutely fantastic! Service was great, food came out fast and was awesome! Splurge and get the dinner. Bread, soup, salad the main and ice cream is worth the extra price! Pizzas were fantastic and dont miss out on the calamari!
