This taco bell consistently shows me that its the worst taco bell in the country.. I keep going back because I love taco bell and the other one is like 40 minutes away hopefully eventually they get a better manager that can train the employees how to make food properly and also how to care more. It's a shame and disappointment to everyone in kalkaska they are ruining a place we have all loved our entire lives smh

Took forever to get food, at 930 with very few customers. My burrito had almost no meat, was mostly a really badly folded tortilla with some sauce. No cheese a small amount of lettuce, that was it, so much for supreme, my chicken quesadillas was cold.

Worked here for a while — wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

There was black mold growing under the drink machine that management ignored, and they regularly rolled back employee hours without consent — I lost about $100 this way, and others lost even more. When we brought it up, we were told it was our responsibility and then dismissed.

Management played blatant favorites. While some of us were cut to 20 hours or less, the Assistant General Manager — who also wrote the schedule — would consistently give herself overtime (44 hours from just one week I checked), then show up unannounced to clock in and work even more unscheduled hours. She openly bragged about her hours while the rest of us scrambled for shifts.

We were also told to manipulate drive-thru timer data to make store performance look better to corporate — but instructed to keep it quiet. Dishonesty like this was normalized.

The worst part: I witnessed repeated mistreatment of a disabled coworker — made to scrub floors on hands and knees with no accommodation whatsoever. It wasn’t a one-time thing; management acted like this was acceptable.

As for how I left: I missed a single day of work — no call, no show — after they abruptly fired a close family member who was also my ride. I was upset, and I own that I should’ve called, but the response was wildly disproportionate. They removed me from the next week's schedule entirely. When I asked why, I got a sarcastic and unprofessional response (proof of which i still have), and nothing was ever done about my still-missing hours. I, and others tried to raise concerns respectfully, and was brushed off again and again.

Toxic, unethical, and completely mismanaged. Whether you're considering applying or just grabbing food here — don’t. There are far better places to spend your time and money.

And to the general public, if you would be so kind as to upvote this so someone in higher management could see it i would really appreciate it, — this location needs some serious oversight.

Edit: every couple weeks I check anonymously and my post seems to be getting suppressed, I wonder why that is ...

This is one of the worst Taco Bell’s I’ve been to. Super slow. The employees aren’t trained. You ask them something and they don’t know the answers. They are out of everything all the time. They have shit on their menu that they are done selling. Update your menus.

Contrary to what the ā€œverifiedā€ hours suggest, the doors were locked at 11pm on Thursday when I walked from the hotel to get some tacos. Now, judging from the other reviews, I am thankful that I was not able to order something carelessly made that could make me sick and ruin my vacation.

Food always hits the spot but often long waits in the drive through and the indoor eating areas are generally pretty sketchy

Ordering was a breeze, paid and had a brief 1 min? wait for my food then on my way. Went throu the drive throu so i dont know about inside cleanliness and whatnot but window attendant was very friendly. Food was good, exactly to order. Much faster than most other fast food places within a 45 min drive. I would recommend this place
