Seriously this place has the absolute best food anywhere. I am picky and they never get the order wrong. Everytime we are in the U.P. We stop here and are not disappointed! Did a blind taste test last summer Clyde’s vs west pier clides won on all sides.
Always love there food!
Foods good, if you can get ahold of them. Every time i try to call them they never answer the phone.
Good food but no dine in and rude
Great little spot! Takes me back to my childhood. Great burgers, good fries and awesome prices!
Delicious! Good made to order burgers!!
Staple of the Yoopers, grab your to go order and head to the small island park (playgrounds for the kiddos) and watch the freighters pass by. Cheeseburgers are fantastic!
Wonderful food served at your car. The shrimp basket was filling and was SOOO good! We also had fried mushrooms and grilled cheese. Delicious. The nice thing about this drive-in is that it is next to Rotary Island park and while we ate our meal, we watched a freighter go by. Highly recommend this little out of the way gem!
I have been going to clydes my entire life. I am in my 50's. The food is not even close to what it was previously. Clydes Drive-in was hands down the best burger joint ever. Not anymore. I have posted a pic of my pizza burger with sauce and raw onions (supposed to be) That I have been getting for years along with a bacon cheesburger and I was reminded of my junior high lunch burgers. I posted a Pic. whoever made my sandwiches just didnt care. I recommend West Pier for the best and most consistant in town. Goodbye Clydes. I am sorry, I will always remember the good times!!
This place has the best burgers around!!

This drive in restaurant is located down by the dock to get to Sugar Island. The parking lot was almost full when we got there (after 1:00 pm). There was a long line for the ferry, lined up out onto the street. We ate in our car but there are picnic tables, if you want to eat outside. Our carhops were excellent- very friendly and accommodating as there were 4 of us in the car and we wanted separate orders. I had a vanilla malt which was very good- alot of places don't serve malts anymore. Our burgers were delicious- my sister said her fries were the best ever! I had the breaded cauliflower- they were just okay, a little bit too much breading. But all in all, a good meal.
What fun to find a drive in like this. Clearly it’s a local favorite, the lot was full. The food was good and the service was prompt and friendly. Wish there was a place like this where I live.
Just called too get place an order and the guy was rude and hung up Clyde’s of Kinross just lost a customer
We visited Sault Ste Marie about 7 years ago and enjoyed the food at Clyde’s. We were looking forward to going back again this summer. They didn’t disappoint. The food is still delicious and the service was great. I’m attaching a photo of this year’s menu if anyone is interested (2022). They do accept credit cards (I can’t remember if they did or not last time we visited!)
Burger was raw, service was terrible. Food took forever to come out. Go to west pier, much better. These new owners are terrible. BRING BOB BACK!
