A Plus Crab (Great Lake)

I've been craving a seafood boil lately and a friend recommended we try this place. The building is really cute outside and inside! There's also a little playground outside. We walked in without reservations and we're seated right away. We got our drinks and apps fairly quickly as well. We really liked the cute fishbowl cocktail. It was evenly mixed and tasted great!
I had a few questions about how portions worked compared to weight and our server was easily able to answer without getting too technical. We did not have to wait long at all to get our food either. The seafood boils came out in a tied bag on a tray and a trash can, bibs, gloves, a shell cracker, and shell splitter were given to us for ease of eating.
As soon as we poured those bags onto our trays our mouths were watering. It looked so good and it tasted even better. We both got the A+ seasoning which is all of their seasonings mixed together and we liked it a lot. My sister got it with a medium spice level and said she didn't taste much spice as if it was a mild spice level like what I got but still tasted good. The seafood was fresh as well. I loved the snow crab legs and they were decently sized too.
It wasn't too loud inside and not too busy for a Friday night and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Everything was decently priced and the bathrooms were fairly clean as well. Overall we liked the place a lot and would come here again.

As a seafood lover, this place absolutely blew me away! Everything was so fresh and well-prepared — you can really tell the care that went into each dish.

The oysters were incredible: super fresh, plump, and the shells were spotless — a small detail, but it says a lot about how much pride the owner and staff take in their food.

Hands down my new #1 seafood spot. So impressed and already dreaming about my next visit! 🦞🦪💙

Good food, great happy hour

Lobster were good sized and tasty. Liked the preparation and presentation. Green mussels were little chewy but otherwise good were amazing.

The flavors are great. The service is really bad; it did seem to be understaffed. Hopefully they can figure it out because the boils and wings are awesome.

Food was outstanding. The company we had was great and that’s where it ended. The server she did her best. But she was hung out to dry by ownership and management. Yes The restaurant was informed beforehand that the party was about 15 people, and I do understand that more than that ended up showing up. However, once management in the ownership saw that there were more people than expected, they should have jumped in to help this poor girl

Because of this several orders were confused, it took 15 to 20 minutes to get drinks at one point we saw the gentleman behind the bar who had allegedly was the owner just standing there twiddling his thumbs not offering to help this young lady

Once again the server she was great she was fairly new. She did what she could.

But this Experience 100% falls on management and ownership

The music and the place was way too loud for a dinner setting. I could understand if it was an outside patio or something like that but inside it was just way too loud.

I don’t think my Wife, daughter and myself would ever come back

By far the worst place ever. I don’t want to say the service was bad, b/c our server is new. However, we called this korning (a Monday), & asked if they could accommodate about 25-30 ppl at 5:30. They said Yes, no problem. Get here….ordered 1 boil & waited an hour for it. Then half the party didn’t or wasn’t able to get drinks. Server told us they were on a 45 min wait……mind you, there’s like 8 tables. They were completely overwhelmed. We asked for side plates for our apps, OWNER stated, they don’t have them. But brought us plastic plates instead, which is perfectly fine.
I am a server (20 + years), & I could’ve taken this whole restaurant by myself & been fine. But to say you can handle it when we made the reservation, then it turns out this bad, is just awful. I will NEVER come back here. To the owner, don’t make excuses for your business poor performance.

Ordered Cajun shrimp fried rice. This was probably my 5th time having it and it was totally disgusting. No flavor, no seasoning at all. Shrimp was over cooked and rice was mushy. If it wasn't late I would hsve returned it when I bought it last night. It's a shame your cook thought it was good enough to give to a paying customer

I am giving the food two stars because at one point I really loved this place and always been a regular. Lately my crab legs have not been good and I always order the Dungeness crab. Its either seems completely uncooked these days or overcooked and mushy. I really don’t want to stop going here but for the amount of money we have to pay at seafood places now, Double then what we spend at the grocery store, the food need to be right!

We shared a seafood boil and the crab chowder. Only complaint was a couple shrimp had a bit of the "poo vein" left but it was delicious enough to finish cleaning it while taking the shell off & eat anyway

I/we ordered a boil with snow crab, headless shrimp and lobster. First thing, I wouldn’t order the lobster here ever again. It’s been cut in half, and this makes it very hard to extract the meat from the shell. Perhaps even harder than the snow crab. The shrimp is not peeled and for the life of me I cannot understand why. I know that it’s going to be a messy affair eating here but not unnecessarily so. That said, we had the A1 sauce in medium heat and it was delicious. From now on if I want lobster, I’ll order it from a place that has Lobster in their name.

I don't know how they make money. Great value.
Make sure everyone in your party likes seafood as chicken wings/fingers are the only alternative.
Take your kid here for a birthday, it's pretty spectacular.

Was able to get a last minute reservation for 10 for my daughter’s 4th birthday. Our server was fantastic, the food was great, we were all shocked by how affordable it was, and they sang a really fun birthday song for my girl. Made her day!
