We visited Oat Soda for dinner this evening and ultimately do not recommend.
PROS: - Cards and board games available to play at our table with the kids - Extensive draft list - Tandem pretzels were delicious! - Good value and options for kids meals. Mac and cheese was good. Burger was OK. - mushroom burger was good - outdoor patio area looked nice if weather permits
CONS: - Be careful you don't get charged for a kids drink ($3.20), as it's included in cost of the meal ($8.00). We had to ask for the excess charges to be removed from our bill (and was given attitude) - If your child wants pickles on the their burger, go elsewhere. Apparently the owner does not allow modifications nor will they sell you a side of pickles - the chicken sandwich was not good. It was burnt and the meat itself was tough - the service started off strong (friendly, offered to split check, helped with a small spill) but then was slow and inattentive. Our food took quite awhile, we ordered waters and never got them, burgers were served without condiments, asked to order another round of drinks but waited too long so decided not to

If you like mushrooms you will LOVE their mushroom/swiss burger. ($13 for the burger only) It has Golden Oyster, Black Pearl Oyster, Beech, Enoki and Maitake mushrooms along with spices and shallots. Delicious and very filling. We sat next to the rolling door window with a view of the river. It was a 90 degree day so it was closed to keep the coolness in but I would have enjoyed the open view with a river breeze blowing thru. Maybe next time. We'd definitely go back here. The curated beer list was excellent and I had a 16oz. ($8.40) draft of American IPA from Fat Head's Brewery in Ohio called "Head Hunter". It was breathtakingly good and award winning. The parking is limited and shared with other stores and down a hill by the river. We parked a bit away and walked thru the Children's park and up the stairs. Well worth the small hike for all the good stuff here.

Didn’t have food, opened @ 4pm, we were hungry @ 3 pm, after golf, ate elsewhere. Delirium Brewing was there to endorse their product. Excellent beer, I had the Trilium, wife had the Red. I asked if I could have my beer poured in a different glass. It was rejected by the bar-tenddress. She was unwavering, citing the bartenders oath for proper serving. REALLY?,… I Again, timidly asked her to another glass,…SHE REFUSED! NEVER AGAIN!,…can you afford to insult your patrons,….mover a glass?

My family and I were trying to decide on a place to eat and nobody could decide so we just decided to start driving. We live about 20-25 minutes away from this restaurant. When we passed by it, I looked at the menu and thought it looked pretty decent so we decided to give it a try.
Mind you, eating out is very expensive, so we hardly ever have the opportunity to go out as a family.
Nobody enjoyed the food. The only thing that was OK was the hot pretzel. Very basic. The Caesar salad had so much dressing on it, we couldn’t even eat it. My husband had chicken on his salad and he is not a picky eater at all, but he said the chicken was grainy and had a very weird texture and could not eat it. I got the mac & cheese and the pretzels on top were very odd. I thought it would’ve been more finally crushed like breadcrumbs. They were chunks of pretzels.
$60 later, we all went home very unsatisfied and not happy about our experience.
Very disappointed. Maybe we just had a bad batch of food, but all three of us were not impressed.

This place is amazing! Go to place in lake orion! Food is from scratch! Weekend features are amazing! Menu, both beer and food change which is nice! Always something for everyone form the kids to the adults! Have bicycle? Hop on the trail. I cannot say enough about this place. This is my favorite place in lake Orion!!!!!!
Decided to check this place out after biking the PCT from Rochester. My bf and I split the Portuguese Chorizo Sausage and a Mediterranean pizza. I was a little worried because I didn’t want to eat anything too heavy as we had to bike back, but it was honestly perfect. The pizza was light and crispy, and the chorizo wasn’t greasy and was delicious. There was a great beer selection, we ended up getting two separate flights. I’ll definitely be back. I’m excited to try the cookies, and the burgers.
