Had lunch here with a friend and overall it was a decent experience. The sushi was fresh, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was laid back. That said, service could have been a little more attentive and I wish they offered larger napkins. I only received one small one and ended up getting sauce on my shirt. I also had a bit of a stomach ache afterward. Still, it’s a solid local spot and I appreciate the value for the price.
I had the silver sashimi platter and felt immediately sick afterwards. The platter included white tuna which I think might actually be escolar. I'm choosing to still give at least three stars because escolar is often mislabeled as Albacore or white tuna before it even gets to the restaurant. So I don't think it's the restaurant's fault. The rest of the sashimi still tasted pretty good. I just want to bring this to the restaurant's attention because escolar can cause stomach upset for a lot of people.
