My daughter, Granddaughter and I stopped in to eat after we drove from Evart to take a walk on Lake's rails to trails. The server was friendly enough but I couldn't believe the prices on the menu. My Granddaughter is 16 months old and I was looking for some healthy sides to order for her like cottage cheese and apple sauce. There was none so I had to order her a kids meal. Which was fine but it was $10 for a couple chicken nuggets and some potato smiles. They came scorching hot on the inside so we had to break everything apart and wait to long to feed the starving 16 month old. Our bill came to $60 and some change. On the receipt I wrote a 0 with a line through it for no tip and wrote the $60 and some change in on the total line. The next day I was looking at my online banking and they had charged me a extra $15 on my bill.... How do you mistake $60 for $75? I wonder how many people they have done this too, that didn't notice. That is stealing... So I called and gave them all the information on my receipt and they said they would credit the $15 back to my card in 24 to 48 hours. Not one single I'm sorry this happened, or can we make it right by comping your meal or even a coupon to come back and visit them... It has now been 4 business days and the $15 is still not back in my account. I will be calling back to make sure I get it back...

First off start by saying , I'm a huge food critic, but for one beer battered cod dinner and one angry burger with fries , 4 bloody Mary's came to nearly $70!!!!! @ Lake side bar and grill! Like what! I'll start by two weeks ago we ordered two plain cheeseburgers, one fry and it came to $30!!!! I was appalled. I was charged .75 each box for take out as well! Today we needed lunch as we had a really long night and just didn't want to bother, so we decided to go to lake side bar and grill try it again, we each had two bloody Mary's , he ordered the angry burger with fry's and I got the cod dinner to go. Waitress stated rolls did not come with the dinner so I asked could I please get two added I will pay for them she stated yes. Clearly stated yes! While we waited for our food we ordered drinks . The first bloody mayrs were amazing , had the olive , 2 pickle slices a lime and cucumber. Three tables were served in the time we waited for our food and two came in after us! So we ordered another drink, this time no veggies in it just refilled plain. Ok no biggie. Food came we got our bill and it was 67. And some change!!!! Like WTF! So we looked at the receipt we were charged both drinks PLUS each veggie ! Like who does that! And we didn't even get any veggies in our second drinks!!!!! We left I looked at our food and my rolls were missing and we had barely any fry's. I went back asked and she said no we don't even have rolls, I stated mam you clearly told me I could order them separate! I said as well we got barely any fry's. She acted like it was an inconvenience to her! Then while I waited she continued to talk about my complaint to I am assuming her husband. So far after just moving here and being a big food critic for upscale companies I would think a small town and they would treat people not only better , but make sure they are taken care of. Needless to say the fry's we got are way under cooked , burger is way burnt , and my fish is as well. A total waste of $70! We should have just went to Arby's! I will say we have had excellent customer service with only 1 waitress there she is the shorter dark haired lady. She has always been kind. But after two bad experiences I would not recommend this place for food or drinks.

This was our first time here and we were looking forward to finding a good restaurant/grill we could enjoy. I certainly want to support local businesses.Server was very friendly and responsive. I liked the atmosphere. The dishes and serving plates and such were nice quality.I got sticker shock when I saw the prices. For $9.45 we got six mozzarella sticks. Okay. The server asked if we wanted ranch, marinara, or both. Sure, we would like both. We got the bill and were charged $1.50 for two small containers of sauce. Have you ever been to a restaurant that charges for sauce for your mozzarella sticks. If you add in tax and tip, six mozzarella sticks cost $12.50. Interesting!The beer comes in 12 ounce glasses. It has been over 10 years since I drank a beer in a glass that was not a pint. That is fine, but the beer prices were on par with at least a pint. So, I was disappointed in the beer prices.Just trying to provide some feedback. Unless quantity of food increases and prices become more reasonable, I don’t see myself going back. Maybe a lack of competition leaves the customers with no other options?I can’t express how disappointed we are. We were really hoping we had found our new hangout.

Sadly this place has been run into the ground by the owners! Six tables sat dirty for hours as the owners sat in a booth drinking wine and bourbon the entire time! Jon Taffer’s (Bar Rescue) head would explode in this poorly managed establishment! The food is of the lowest quality and priced high. It’s a shame for the community that’s been working so hard at improving every year to have this their only option, they deserve better!

Whoever is the crackhead running the bar needs to go. Shutting food service down over an hour before you close on a Saturday is unacceptable. Especially with people in seats at the bar/rest and people playing pool. Very disappointed. Consequences of your actions. Will not return or recommend to anyone ever again.

Staying near this restaurant/bar came in for dinner. Entree was good but wishing we would of tried the burgers. Wait staff on the other hand was superb !! Friendly and very attentive to us.

When you walk in there is a very strong musty smell that goes away as your nose gets used to it. it hasn't changed much from when it was Big Al's. I got the ribs that were boiled or steamed to death with bbq sauce poured on top, the wife got the prime rib of which 1/3 was fat, she said it tasted good but because it's kind of dark where we sitting, she got tired of eating fat and decided to take it home to the dog. The waitress was very good, the food was not her fault, but we most likely won't be back.
