I cannot tell you how frustrating their service and food is. Sometimes, it’s wonderful; other times the service is terrible and the food just falls short. While I’ve done dine-in a handful of times (last time they forgot my kid's meal and my daughter was hangry), I’ve probably ordered dinner to-go from there 50 times over the past few years. I would say 10-20% of the time they won’t even take my order because they’re "too busy". They will then say I can dine-in…I don’t know how that makes sense. Why would you rather have me wait in person and take up a seat as opposed to waiting at home?
Sometimes the fries and burgers/steaks are overcooked or burnt even. I’ve gotten in the habit of checking my food before leaving. Their prices the last couple of times don’t match their website. For being one of the few restaurants in the area, they don’t have it together. I would recommend driving a little farther to find food and service that's worth it.

Waitress seemed a little pissy. Didn't even smile. What was worse, there was a bigger guy that came out from the back and gave my husband a dirty look. What is that? Loved the food however.

Food is either good or it's not. I've eaten here three times now and the food has honestly been a toss up all three times. The first three times we ate there the food didn't take very long to come out, we were there yesterday and it took about 45 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger with the beer batter fries, the burger came out over cooked and dry, the fries came out cold and limp. My son ordered the kids cheeseburgers and mashed potatoes, the potatoes came out cold enough to where the butter didn't even really melt on it. Had the food been warm and the wait not so bad I'd say it would've been really good. Our Server was friendly and attentive. I will say this, the desserts our always really good, I would highly recommend anyone who goes get some dessert, you won't be disappointed in that

I brought my service dog in to this restaurant tonight. Now I’ve brought two other service dogs into this restaurant. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. I do not believe the owners have ever been there since I brought a service dog in the owners of the restaurant definitely do not know the laws on ADA as they told me if my service dog didn’t lay down that he was going to remove me first he asked for the papers of my dog when I told him he cannot ask that the other owner came and asked me if it was a service dog service that performed. As I answered her questions, I thought it was over with but within a five minute period they were at my table 6 different times with me saying can you please leave me alone and let me finish my meal. I have been criminally trespassed from the property because of my service dog. When I told him he was discriminating against me and that I would complain to the ADA he laughed in my face. My animal was not out of control. He was on a 1 foot leash and right beside me. He did notify me that my heart was going up because I have a heart condition And when he stood to notify me, the male owner of the restaurant asked me to leave. Telling me that my service dog was required to lay down at all times. I did not even get to finish our meal. I truly felt ashamed of my disabilities and embarrassed, embarrassed that I have a disability. I felt belittled and ashamed that my family had to go through that.

We’ve tried to love chapz but are disappointed time and time again. The food is fantastic, but the service is lacking. I should not see other people walk in, sit get their food and leave & then have my waitress say “it’s cooking right now”. It should have been cooking in the order of who was sat and ordered first. I don’t enjoy waiting 40 plus minutes for food with two screaming kids.

Very delicious steak, we had the trail boss and couldn’t complain at all. Very juicy snd tender, cooked to perfection. Karaoke was a good time for all. Will definitely be back, for the deep fried pickles!! First time and definitely won’t be the last.
If they weren’t the only restaurant in Lakeview, they would fail. Between how they treat their staff, to how the staff treat customers, and the food itself, everything is just awful. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. The pretzel bites are hard as rocks every time, the meat is never cooked the way you ask it to be done… Terrible business. Do not support, if you can help it.

We have property in Barryton and the highlight of our trips up there is always stopping at Chapz on the way home, I always look forward to it. However, last weekend when we stopped I was so disappointed. I got a burger and my husband got a NY strip, both of which have always been favorites. I’m not sure what has changed but they just weren’t as flavorful as they used to be. The burger was bland and didn’t seem to be seasoned at all and the meat quality just seemed different. The NY strip was tough even cooked to medium rare. I don’t know what has changed but I hope they change whatever it is back. I will try one more time but at the price point we will have to find a new “local” spot if we have another disappointing meal like that one. So sad!
