Barry Bagels Lambertville

I am a longtime customer of the Lambertville, MI location. My favorite sandwich is the turkey pastrami on rye bread. The sandwich is exceptional. The potato salad is the best. On my last visit I decided to try the chicken soup. I was very disappointed with the soup. It tasted fine but it was 98% broth and 2% noodles and vegetables. It was rather pricey for what I received

Absolute garbage! 23 dollars a pound for corned beef and its little scraps of corned beef and so chewy. Didn’t even give me a pound. Eyeballed it and put it in a plastic container. The sylvania store has delicious corned beef. How come yours is absolute dog food???

Always a problem whatever I order. Don't like to wait while staff plays with phones. Needs new management and an owner that cares.

Barry's is always good for a fresh delicious bagel. Popped in and got a dozen our favorites are the chocolate chip, jalapeño chedder, and cinnamon vanilla. We tried their seasonal pumpkin spice cream cheese and that was a family favorite too. Staff was polite, quick, and worked efficiently together.

I’m going to sound like a boomer here…but I’ve never felt so uncomfortable around restaurant staff in my life. The staff here are so strangely unpersonable…you walk in, and maybe get a muted bored sounding “hello”, maybe 50% of the times I’ve gone. I’ve walked in and stood at the counter many times and had nothing said to me for way too long. Then greeted with a bored “what can I get you.” I thought the Gen Z stare was a Tik Tok joke, but I was proven wrong.

As for the quality of the food, it’s what you’d expect. Really good bagels, sandwiches, and cream cheese. Only problem I’ve had is chewing on a cut in half toothpick from the way they cut the bagel and stick the toothpicks in sideways so it fits in the styrofoam box. Liability wise probably not a good thing especially if this would happen to a child.

We love Barry Bagel but don’t love feeling so strange in a restaurant. Play some music, boost your staff’s morale, and do some training on standard human interactions. I’m not asking for Chic-Fil-A fake niceties, just standard human communication skills.

We ordered lunch from this location today and unfortunately, we were disappointed. We ordered online and picked it up about 20 mins later. The bagels were not toasted, as ordered, the bagel sandwiches did not have the correct condiments, as ordered and the red onions were the pieces you throw away after cutting them. The pickle spears were cut so weird, they were super thin and it was basically just seeds.
Here’s the thing, if this was a few dollars, I’d say nothing. “You get what you pay for” type of thing. However, this was $29 and some change. Almost $30 and the food was not good. That’s absolutely unacceptable and enough to not only write a review but never return to this location again.

there is only 2 employees at the front working while 6+ are standing by the registers socializing or on their phones. I am feeling so bad for the employees here that are doing everyone else’s jobs. How stressful for them & honestly sad to see!

The employees can not seem to follow instructions.
I've left a review with DoorDash as well, but we always select the 'toasted ' option and our items aren't toasted. We started adding to toast the item in the special instructions as well and that doesn't seem to help.
Today we also had our bagels switched. I wanted a garlic bagel for my sandwich and my husband wanted the Asiago cheese.
I instead got the Asiago cheese and he got the garlic.

Everytime I Grubhub (going through chemo so I tried one more time ordering delivery) from them they omit items and substitute! Terrible service! If you can't fulfill an order based on your menu you shouldn't be in business won't ever order again! Completely avoiding Barry's from now on you lost a loyal customer.
**UPDATE** Corporate reached out and apologized and offered to make it right! Appreciate the response thank you - they do have the best bagels, macaroni and potato salads and rice krispie treats!

Very friendly, great food. Inside is clean.
