It was our first time going to Redwood and definitely won't be the last! It was quiet when we went and we sat on the lounge side but our waiter Cody was great! And the food was delicious! My NY strip was seasoned and cooked to perfection and sides were good to. The perch and mac and cheese I was told was also really good.

Food was good but the waiter was not. Dinner came with 2 sides, he forgot the coleslaw slaw, asked him about it when he brought the food, and he said he would go get it as he forgot. Never received it, so he took 50 cents off the bill!

This is our favorite place to hang out in Lewiston. We moved here a few months ago and have tried almost every small food joint and bar in town. None of them compare to the Redwood so far.
The service is fast and the bartenders are super friendly. They really get to know you and treat you like a friend. The owner is super cool, too. They actually converse with you and make you feel welcome.
They tend to get busy at peak hours, especially on the weekends, but it never takes away from the quality of the service.
Their chips and queso is our favorite dish- we order it almost every time we come.
I would definitely recommend coming to the Redwood if you are looking for a good, chill time, great food, and a great atmosphere.
Edit (9/6): The Lewiston Hotel Bar and Grille responded to my honest review of their poor service with the most nasty and hateful comments Ive ever seen from an owner on Google Reviews. They refuse to take any responsibility for their rude staff, and instead respond with backlash and claim you are not real. They went to my Facebook page unsolicitedly and try to tell me that because I only have 4 friends on Facebook, I must not be real. Because I have lived in Florida and hadnt reviewed many Michigan locations yet, I must not be real. They clearly do not want their customers to keep coming back if this is how they are going to treat them. Do not waste your time at the Lewiston Hotel Bar and Grille. The fact that they can say such hateful things to their customers on a public platform says all you need to know about their owners. The screenshot I included is of their response. If you are thinking about going there, please look at their reviews first. The owners are always defensive against people who give their honest reviews. If it isn't positive, they dont like it. They are mediocre at best. The Redwood is where it's at.

Went here while visiting family. Food was hearty and old school and really good. Servers were busy and understaffed and still gave great service.
Vegetarian options: Not a ton of options but my party got the Mac and Cheese and said it was great. Also if pescatarian I had the fish and it was great.
Kid-friendliness: Brought my 5 year old and there were other kids. Had high chairs

What a bunch of a-holes.. walked in to be seated or put on a waiting list, but was told we could go sit in the bar area. So we did, at the only remaining table. Sat there for 20 minutes without any attention from waitstaff, was blatantly ignored by them. Particularly by the big fella with the man bun. No "we'll be right we with you" or anything... WTH.... Will never be back.
