I went to the A&W restaurant on Southfield Road on March 5th 2024 I ordered a Papa burger and a root beer the total came out to $19 and some change I was feeling generous I thought I'd give the girl a tip for bringing the food out to me at my van so I gave her $23 cash and told her to keep the change she went back inside and immediately came back out and said I only gave her $2 just want to let people know that use this location of the scam they're trying to pull the fact that they waited until they went in the store to count the money seemed fishy to me the manager then came out and tried to make me feel guilty telling me she was going to take it out of the girls paycheck to pay for my meal and said enjoy my free meal. I love A&W Restaurants I will never return to this location thanks for the bad experience! FYI the food was good no complaints there.

The foot long hot dog was cooked WAAAAAY too long, it had very few chopped onions on it. The only thing saving this review is the fries and shake were AWESOME.UPDATE... I went back and they took care of me with a new coney. Thank you.

For starters, from the first interaction at the speaker, the team member who took my order was awesome! Very personable and make my ordering experience feel more human and not like a scripted inconvenience you get a most fast food restaurants. Then the most beautiful girl with amazing eyes, who had a gorgeous smile that you could literally see it through her black face mask, came out and she was very articulate, polite, and had a confidence you don't see in most people. My order was fairly quick, but most importantly, it was correct (which sadly other places don't even care about even doing that!) Overall, great experience for me! (Remember, my opinion shouldn't matter....This is all subjective. Except how beautiful that team member was....that is 100% not subjective!) Lmao

Congratulations on being the longest open A&W in Michigan (67 years)!!We haven't had our A&W in about 30+ years and we enjoyed our wonderful food & experience. They are pleasant when answering the phone and the Car Hops are super sweet. We'll be back for sure. This was one of our Friday places to eat before going to the LP roller skating rink back in 1986.

A&W Lincoln Park is iconic, but sadly, in need of repairs. Looks like the drive up Canopy is ready to crash down. Just sad ?. Coney dogs are still great & root beer is legendary. Car hops are super.
