Was very disappointed that after my wait, my chicken wasn’t fresh. Seems like it was dropped back in grease to reheat, then sprinkled lemon pepper on its. Very chewy, and stringy…not fresh.

Ok I’m tired of giving this place a chance I had a combo plate fish n chicken the perch fish was horrible it was cooked so hard u couldn’t even eat it just all skin the chicken wings were so little fries n hush puppies horrible ????? im done. stop eating here until they get better food and there customer service is good which is crazy but there food is garbage!!! We just left we the restaurant over on Dix rd in Lincoln Park. And I have to say after dining in. The next time I eat Captain Jays( if I eat here again), it will be getting it and go!First off after placing our order and receiving our drink cups, I was in the mood for some delicious Mountain Dew! So I walk over to their drink fountain. I press to get ice for my. Beverage of choice! And nothing came out! And as the commercial motto says Do the Dew. I wore the dew. Cause I put my cup under the right nozzle, and it shot the tip right off the machine at me. Then I was drenched with watered down soda! I had enough of the soda fountain game and asked if my order can be changed from fountain drinks to 20 oz pops since their machine was WHACK! They said I had to purchase the bottles on top of what I paid for the food!Now let’s get to the food! The first time around their Cole slaw was good. I raved tmabout their Cole slaw when I walked in! My taste buds prepared themselves for GOOD COLE SLAW! I ordered the 2.99 tub of Cole slaw and was let down! You can hear silent cries as my taste buds was crying out WHY US!Now the perch I have to say was on point with the fries and hashbrowns!The Atmosphere was HORRIBLE! I like a good atmosphere where there is music that is tolerable! Instead we get music that was loud and Annoying! I was trying to have a good conversation with my wife. But ended up leaving cause the music seemed to get louder and louder! Captain Jays in Lincoln ParkPlease fix these issues! And maybe just maybe I will be back!

Excellent variety of seafood. I love the deep fried cod, very nice size portion of fish. The okra is definitely notable, You must try the lemon pepper seasoning. Is excellent location easy in and easy out. Is chicken tenders and chicken also available.

Music is so loud that the cashier couldn't hear me say 4, she heard 2 pieces. Both the cashier and cook kept touching the food with bare hands. They use a sugar dispenser for salt, which is way too much salt. After waiting 20 minutes, the food was cold. The only things right were that it looked clean and they refunded the money without hassle. Also, not one apology while waiting for the refund.
