Sabor Mexicano is simply outstanding and lives up to their name. This has been our new "go-to" spot for a good meal and quaint ambiance. The staff are warm, inviting and you can feel it through their food. The owners take pride in their business to ensure they provide the best quality and customer service. I have not experienced one bad item on the menu. The guacamole is excellent and the tacos are simple, yet pack a punch to flavor. The salsas are authentic and homemade. I personally enjoy the heat and the variety of their salsas. Hands down the best. Sabor is second to none!

Finally a Mexican restaurant on the eastern outside of GR! Quaint little place on right in the river in downtown Lowell. The food is amazing, generous portions. The chips are hot and fresh when they’re brought to the table. The staff is extremely friendly, the restrooms are clean!

This family run restaurant is a real treat! They're extremely friendly and the atmosphere is cheerful. The style of Mexican is somewhat unique, and definitely not cookie cutter Mexican. It's a small place overlooking the Flat River. In the warmer months it is a pleasure to watch the many swans and other waterfowl from their patio. Sabor Mexicano is a gem. The Tres Leche cake is a special dessert!
Fav mexican place try to birria tacos. Love them so much. I don't leave near it anymore and miss it constantly. The staff is always kind and do a great job.

My wife and I visited Sabor Mexicano for the second time after a few months since our first visit.We had received excellent service our first visit -- our waitress had given us a free bowl of salsa after they were out of the guacamole, gave us 2 tamales as well, and was on top of everything.Tonight, we visited around 6 PM craving the tamales to which we found out we could not order. Our waitress failed to check on us -- our food and drinks -- the entire 45 minutes or so we were there until we asked for boxes to leave.Love the food, but very disappointed in the service we received tonight after such a wonderful first experience.

Stopped on the way back home from GR. A few miles off 96, but well worth the detour. The food is authentic and delicious, the place is clean and inviting, and the staff were friendly and quick. Big portions, we shared a meal, but almost regret it just because we could have tried another dish as well and had leftovers. Definitely worth a try.

Cute place, colorful decor, and some tables with water views. We were seated right away and had a very attentive server. She brought us chips straight out of the fryer, and they were glistening from what had to be lard and sprinkled with salt. Sweet Jesus, they were delicious! I tried 2 tacos: the al pastor and the steak. Both came with double soft corn tortillas, and each was topped with minced onion and cilantro. They were good but surprisingly flavorless. I'm not talking about spiciness, bc they have 3 types of sauces at the table. Just not much seasoning or meat flavor. My husband got the tamales, and there was a lot of filling and just the right amount of masa (most places lay it on super thick like it was brick mortar). He enjoyed them very much. We will come back, bc I want to try the gordita and some of their combo plates.
