Used to be one of the 1st dinners I'd get every year...NO MORE! New owner and prices went up last year...still gret pizza though. 2025 and I didn't pay attention to the rumors...ordered our favorite lg pizza and a small...$54 carry out.
From the crust (probably frozen)to the toppings (minimal)it was worse than any frozen pizza 'Ive had. Chuck Wagon is OUT of my auto dial and ive been warning others that it's not what it used to be! Never again.

A solid 1, considering all the other available pizza options you’d think a local pizza place would standout but unfortunately it left a lot to be desired. The pizza sauce was alright but the crust was lacking and the bread sticks were more like cheese on a piece of cardboard. The toppings were plentiful but the quality of the toppings were not fresh. It seems like I missed the heyday of chuck wagon, now it seems like a lot of corners are cut.

Save your money and go to Papa John’s instead. Toppings aren’t fresh, bread sticks are the worst and extremely thin. Pizza was even terrible the next day for leftovers. First time I had buyers remorse getting pizza. Go anywhere else 😭

Pizza just wasn't very good for the money, and the bread was some of the worst breadsticks I've ever had.

Save yourself the time and headache and order from somewhere else. The quality and service is not what it used to be. I was their biggest fan and supporter but my last 2 expiriences has changed that. You will wait at least 2 hours for your food even if they tell you less. No concern for customer service. I have expirienced and watched continually rude and lack of care service. Now the worst part, they have ruined what Ric built as far as quality of food. Toppings are not what they used to be and the crust has become so thin it is like a cracker. What used to be our go to for a filling delicious dinner is now not even worth considering.

not what it used to be, under cooked and less toppings.

We just ate at Chuck Wagon. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The servers are very good and attentive. And the food was delicious.

There had to have been at least 3 jars worth of canned mushrooms on this pizza, making it the heaviest pizza I’ve ever held. (Roughly 5 lbs if I had to guess) Frickin Awesome.

I rarely leave reviews, but our experience at Chuckwagon was so poor that I felt compelled to share, especially for those who may be returning based on its former reputation. My husband grew up in the area and had fond memories of this place, so we were excited to visit—despite hearing it was under new ownership.
Unfortunately, the problems began right away. When we arrived, we stood in the waiting area for about ten minutes without so much as a greeting.

Once seated, we noticed the dining area was far from clean—floors were dirty, and chairs were covered in crumbs. A server attempted to wipe our table, but it was left soaking wet, and we ended up cleaning it ourselves. Not a big deal, if that was the worst of it I would think nothing of it.

We ordered drinks, and while sodas were brought out, waters were forgotten—twice. I had to go to the bar both times to ask, and it still took over 30 minutes before they arrived. It was a frustrating start, but we tried to stay optimistic.

After an hour, garlic bread was finally brought to the table. Sadly, it was paper-thin, dry, and flavorless. We waited another 15 minutes for two pizzas, which arrived overcooked with a burnt, cracker-like crust and very little flavor—disappointing even to our kids who are easy to please with pizza. Additionally, one of the pizzas was clearly smaller than what we ordered. Again, normally, I would overlook all of this and just chalk it up to a bad experience.

We mentioned we were still waiting on a second pizza and breadsticks, which the server seemed unaware of. Apparently, they had never been entered into the system. We asked for the missing items to be expedited, but still waited another hour. By this point, we’d been there for over two hours and 15 minutes.
When the second breadsticks arrived, they were somehow worse than the first—rock-hard and inedible. A woman who appeared to be the manager or owner came to speak with us. She apologized and blamed the issues on a missed order entry and a previously large table of guests, offering not to charge us for the forgotten pizza.

When the final pizza arrived, I asked for the check immediately. We waited another 20 minutes, only to watch two servers standing behind the bar doing nothing. I went up to request the bill and was met with more confusion—they couldn’t even recall what we ordered. They also tried to charge us for a larger pizza than we received. I finally asked for the manager to ring up our bill. She removed a few items, and asked if the total was acceptable. At that point, we just wanted to leave and paid the bill she presented.

Between the unclean environment, unreasonably long wait times, disorganized service, and subpar food, it was an exhausting and disappointing experience. Sadly, the beloved Chuckwagon is no longer what it once was, and we won’t be returning.

I order some pizza and sandwich last week, when I called I agreed to wait over hour for my food, I showed up for food 10 ,15 min earlier to pay and wait. And I was happy that my order is ready. At home I wasn’t so happy, how long my son sandwich was hot and tasty, veggie pizza tasted good but was warm, rix stix Parmesan and garlic barely warm when only taste of Parmesan nothing garlicky, I order in chuck wagon before and everything was fine, not sure the place going down with quality or just was bad day

This place used to have the best pizzas in town, but it has gone severely downhill since the new owners took over. I have given it multiple tries over the past year, but they just cannot get it back to the glory days that I was accustomed to. I recently called for pickup and was told it would be two hours. Okay, we made that work and was fine with picking it up two hours after ordering. We ordered several large pizzas, cheese bread and a salad. Our immediate reaction upon opening the boxes was disappointment. There were hardly any toppings on the pizza compared to what we were used to over the many years of being a Chuck Wagon customer. The crust was thin and chewy. There was just bare crust a good inch from the edge of the pizza, then the tomato sauce started and that was just sauce for another near inch before the toppings started. The toppings were very limited and nothing like they used to be. This place is not cheap for pizza. Price isn't an issue if its good and plentiful, but they continue to skimp on the toppings, and the crust is like cardboard. We ordered the cheese sticks, and it was an embarrassment. Small, thin and just sprinkled grated parmesan cheese over butter. The so-called large salad was tiny. Small container with even less salad in the container. The new owners have had plenty of time to get this right and we have given them a lot of chances since they took the business over. It's a shame because the Chuck Wagon was once a very highly regarded place for very good pizza.

I highly recommend Chuck wagon! We had a long day. We sat down, the manager Amy gave our kids a little dough to keep them occupied while we waited for our pizza..even let one of the pizza makers give them a show on how to toss the pizza dough! LIFE SAVER. Thanks Amy!! We got our pizza my husband dropped it on the floor on accident. They immediately put another one in the oven for us! Every time we visit Ludington we will make sure we make a trip to Chuck Wagon!! Great service and food! Thanks again Amy!! You deserve a raise!! 😉
