I can't believe I've never heard of / seen / or been here. Of every brewery I've been to (200+, around the world), this is one of the most original and unique. In a barn behind a house, it's unassuming. But you get there and it's like being on an episode of Cheers. Everyone is friendly, everyone is chatting with you, the brewer/owner is probably the nicest proprietor I've ever met. And I haven't even talked about the beer yet! We tried 3 beers and all 3 were VERY good. If I lived up here, this would be my brewery of choice. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

We love this place! We were immediately greeted by Andy, who took the time to talk about each beer providing samples among the way based on the flavors we liked. He even sent our group of 16 away with some special beers that were not for sale along with glasses for each of us! This is definitely a place will be going again! Thank you such much Andy for your hospitality and making us feel at home!

Attended Beer School today and makes me love this place even more than before. The care and detail Andy and his team put into their beers is outstanding and truly worth of being deemed "craft". We learned a lot and basically got to try every step of the brewing process. Lots of fun, I highly recommend.

We were in the area last weekend for our mini-moon and stopped in here because of the amazing reviews and the cool looking space. Thankfully it far exceeded expectations. The beer was really good, I had a Zombie Dinosaurs and the mango habanero beer and my wife had the Hop Marley and the Belgian Strong. Upon walking in we were gleefully greeted by Andy, who I believe was the owner, and made us feel like we had been going there for years. The space is a really cool barn looking building with a great outdoor space. If I find myself back in this area again Starving Artist will definitely be my first stop.

We spent a week in Ludington and this place was highly recommended to us. Looked them up and saw all the 5 star reviews so we had to go check it out. Everything everyone had to say in their reviews were true - this place just has an awesome vibe. It might be a while before we can make it back but already looking forward to it.

Best craft beer I have had in Michigan and it's not even close. The service is fast and super friendly as well. I will absolutely be stopping back next time I'm in the area. I'll be bringing them some more New Glarus to make up for the bottle that broke! I absolutely love their logo "judge beer not people". I should have bought a shirt :-) at least I have a glass.

Stopped in to Starving Artist brewery today. Wow. I can’t express how much I love this place. A true microbrew outside of Ludington, MI. They brew great beers and have a wide variety to suit any palette. Cool atmosphere and vibe. Loved it
