Sawasdee 2 Thai Restaurant

I have an incredibly difficult time writing bad reviews, but i’m pretty sure I’m done with this place…I’ve been a frequent customer (literally once a week/or 2 unless they’re closed) at Sawasdee Thai 2 in New Hudson for over a decade, until recently, the food has been amazing (even though the heat/spice levels are completely inconsistent which I accept and don’t have a big problem with), which is why we come back endlessly…recently though the food has been between mediocre and downright awful! The only time we’ve ever complained about Sawasdee’s food to them (or anyone) was recently when we received straight up rotten shrimp (as in stinking, slimy, makes you vomit literal garbage—and when it’s covered in curry and noodles, you don’t realize til it’s in your mouth)…now our most recent order was a container of sauce with 4 rubbery shrimp, 2 pieces of eggplant (which i ordered extra and was charged more for) and a couple pieces of onion and mushroom. I don’t know if they have a new cook, or part of me thinks it might be retaliation for trying to inform them (super nicely and calmly btw) that they’ve been serving rotten seafood, but after several horrible meals in a row, costing us around $50, i can’t fathom wasting more money giving them yet another chance to make edible food.

I’ve come here many times and the food is always so good! The staff are very nice and friendly, and the orange chicken is the best orange chicken I’ve ever had. It genuinely is addicting!

Best thai i've ever had. We like basil chickens.So we got chicken fried rice basil chicken and we got the entree basil chicken too. Both were the best I ever had.

My favorite, I try to get carry out whenever I’m in town. Food is good! The online ordering is easy and food has been as requested.

First time eating here, everything was delicious! I mean WOW good. I have celiac and reluctant to order out. However, I enjoyed the gluten free vegetable curry and can attest that it was prepared safely. We ordered carry out. The food was ready on time and the service was great!

I placed a to-go order online and picked it up. When I got home, I realized my dish was wrong (must have gotten mixed up with another order.) I called, and offered credit or to re-make it… I was so hungry so I decided to go back up and get my drunken noodles. They were so sweet and gave me a Thai iced tea on the house for the troubles. The food is always SO good and the front house staff are so sweet and friendly. Love that we have great Thai so close to us!

Tried this Thai place today 3/14/24 ordered Pad Cashew very disappointing. No cashews at all, order was very small & filled with tons of baby corns & bamboo shoots. No cashews no water chestnuts. Won’t be going

My husband and I are lucky to have found this place! We've tried lots of Thai restaurants, and the food here is excellent! We had the curry noodle and the drunken noodle and both were delicious. The staff is also very attentive and friendly! Don't miss out on this gem!!-To the waitress I talked to about being married to my husband for 15 years :Thank you for going the extra mile and for all of your kind words :)
