Umami is my favorite sushi place, I love getting pickup orders because they are always so fast and very nice there. The last time I went was the longest I had to wait, which was about 20 minutes. They're getting more popular, which they definitely deserve!

Best regular spicy tuna roll I’ve had in Michigan! This one here does pack a punch, so don’t order thinking it’s a normal americanized spicy tuna roll.

First time here, and won't be our last! We ordered the shumai for appetizers, the sauce was so good and size was bigger than most restaurants. We also ordered the Vegas roll and the striped tiger roll. Both exceeded our expectations. The striped tiger was fresh tasting and the Vegas roll was lightly fried and perfect. The place is small with about 10 tables but service was amazing.

We got some carry out from here recently. Sushi was average, nothing out of the ordinary and the chicken meal we got had such little meat on it, we measured it…it was 1.5 oz . So disappointing! Customer service was great

Editing to respond to owner: yes, I am sure it was your location. We got some sushi roll, sashimi which was decent but the royal chicken, bulgogi and chicken teriyaki were just not great :( it may have been an off day but it was very disappointing to see how little chicken the meals had.

Went here today for the first time, can’t believe I haven’t been here before! Staff are sooo sooo sweet. Very good sushi! Lots of love go into their food. Don’t miss this hidden gem. :)
