Angela's Italian Deli and Bakery

I HIGHLY recommend Angela’s! I crave blue house turkey sandwich often. Not only is everything delicious, the staff there are the best of the best. We bring our kids every Saturday after karate and dance. They ALWAYS interact with them and it’s so sweet. Our week wouldn’t be complete without a visit to our favorite bakery. 💗

Just stopped in 12-7-24, and got my first Italian Sub from here after reading about it on Facebook all the time. I am glad I did. If you want the best Italian sub around I suggest you stop in here. Not only was the sub fantastic, the whole staff is wonderful and make you feel at home. What a fantastic gem in the city. Thanks to the staff for a great experience and fantastic sub. I will be back. Okay, I have been here 5 times since 12/7/24. That says a lot as I don't normally do this. I am listing the sandwiches I had so far. I know they all say delicious after, but they are. I can’t pinpoint a favorite. Not in order of preference.
1) Italian - delicious
2) Nine-Thirteen Vaughn - delicious
3) 4th Street Wolverine - delicious
4) One of the weekly specials- delicious
5) Oakland & Arch - delicious
Also, their soups are fantastic

Literally one of the best deli/bakeries I’ve ever been to! We got the 9-13 Vaughn combo and split it. We smashed it in the parking lot. It is just enough for a quick lunch for two. Highly recommend!

Awesome spot. I was traveling for work nearby and saw this place had a ton of reviews and wanted to try. It didn’t disappoint. The bread and meat were perfectly proportional, the peppers were spicy, the sandwich was bomb. Totally repeatable!

This place is amazing! I’m happy I discovered it but mad at myself because now I find myself there every Saturday morning! I usually go and get a sandwich, which you cannot go wrong with any of them! Their fresh loafs of bread come out around 10 so make sure you get there for that. Also their cannolis and bake goods..don’t get me started- SOOO GOOD! I will for sure be 10 pounds heavier if I keep eating all that stuff, but at least I’ll be happy eating it. Check them out you won’t be mad you did! Also people said the wait takes long, it’s really not bad at all! All those ladies are working their butts off as fast as they can. I think those other people who said it takes too long are just hangry waiting for their food. Anyway give it a try!

I purchase cookies from this place. The first time, I came in and purchased all of the chocolate chip and snickerdoodle. I was told by a lady with blond hair and a ring in her nose that to next time call in an order because they need enough cookies for all thier customers. What business doesn't want you to purchase all of what they sell? I just felt it was petty. Then I call in an order for the cookies and the same nose ring lady tells me next time I need to call an order in the day before and she made it such a big deal that it just seemed trivial. That was my last purchase supporting this bakery. The cookies are not good enough for the attitude. I know better places, it's just that this was closer to home. I would not suggest this bakery.

The food here is super fresh and delicious. All the employees are also very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be going back!

Found this gem while looking for a bagel shop near where I was.

Not only are you offered the most friendly and kind treatment, the breakfast sandwiches are very high quality and priced to compete with fast food, all the while you know you’re receiving high quality ingredients, just as you are with the lunch sandwiches we all know about and love. Had to experience all the bragging and glad I did. Purchased 2 Italian for my sister and I and one Turkey for my mom. They were both hesitant due to their dislike of vinegar on the subs in the description but were both glad I talked them into it.
I’ve been wanting to try this place and glad we did! We all give the subs 5 stars with their fresh bread and plentiful topping. We will be back.
