The awesome gentleman stayed open a few minutes longer when i called, i wouldnt make it by closing time if he hadnt. The doughnuts were beyond delicious. Will definitely be back.
For $28 I expected freshsoft donuts, the ones I received felt like they were frozen and thawed, and then filled, not like they use to be

Golden Donuts is reusing the Willie's Donuts listing, which might be inflating the review listing higher than it should be.
I love their chocolate cake donut and regular sized donuts overall. However, for the last 3 times, I ordered one of their premium donuts (apple fritter and cinnamon roll), they tasted dry (either overcooked or stale). Which wasn't the same experience I had when golden donuts first took over for Willie's. For that, our family is probably taking a break from Golden Donuts, in hopes things will improve.
Lady who runs the shop is very nice. The pricing is right.

I had the white filled long John. It was delicious all the way through. But I don't like the unfriendly atmosphere. The reason everyone liked Willys was the small town atmosphere they brought. Kind and friendly. Willys cared about what they served.

Well this isn’t Willie’s donuts anymore you can tell these people are using lower quality ingredients, dunkin donuts has better donuts it’s a shame Willie’s donuts was best in town when it came to donuts but this place “Golden donuts” is garbage the donuts taste exactly like gas station donuts I’m just pissed I spent so much money on trash they should’ve kept the recipe Willie’s donuts used instead of using their cheap recipe never coming back just save your money and go to a gas station and buy the donuts there it’s the same taste.
Definitely not Willie's anymore. Time to find another go to donut place. UPDATE- Told my son about this place. Told him I wasn't impressed at all. Of course he didn't believe me , being his dad and all. So he gave it a try. Yup , didn't like them at all. Stale tasting donuts. Just blah. Mind you this is my opinion. We'll now my son's as well.

Willie's had fresher product. Big veritity but all my donuts tasted like 3 day old stale Donuts. Tried 3 time. Other friends say the same. Are you baking in house

I’m putting up this review in support of Golden Donuts, I think some people are sentimental about willie’s, but the only donut they had that was any good was the fritter. I was never impressed with Willie’s, Golden Donuts is good, just like Willie’s some donuts are better than others…you have to keep an eye out for their Napoleon which is amazing and some of their other specialty donuts. Their fritters are good, about the same as Willie’s, but some of the other ones are quite special. If you just get the plain normal donuts it’s like many other standard donuts shops, but they have a lot of good ones.

I'm told Willey's had good donuts. I wouldn't know, because they weren't open early enough for me to get donuts on the way to work, and they were out by the time I was heading home.
Golden donuts has hours that I like better, and the donuts I love (I've been going to their other locations for years). Stop in and get the best fritters you've ever had.
