Shanty Creek Resort - Ivan’s To Go

We had our wedding at the Lakeview Hotel at Shanty Creek and it was absolutely beautiful! Our coordinator, Amber, was fantastic and kept everything moving as we’re were planning the wedding and during the wedding itself! Great food, friendly staff, and overall a positive experience. Thank you for a day I’ll never forget!

Terrible ownership group has let the resort become old and in need of repair. They cut costs at every turn and invest zero money in the property or the community. Stay anywhere but there !

We hung out here for an evening to watch the live band play.. they were excellent!! The drinks were good and fair priced. Service was slow but they were super packed so it was expected.

I had an awful experience in this so called a "Grill" place. I have been sick and had had terrible food poisoning for over a week now. I ordered a burger, which is not only tasteless (like cardboard), and I am sure that's the one that made me very sick,as my symptoms started showing up about 3 or 4 hours later (I don't want to describe all my symptoms... my GI system was wrecked).I ordered chicken tenders for my daughter... it was not even real chicken... it is some type of blended white stuff (worse than McDonald's stuff) that was deep-fried in flour or something.... I am glad that my daughter didn't have food poisoning from that as well! (miraculously)Please do yourself a favor by not eating/ poisoning yourself or kids there. It's so sad that such a beautiful place doesn't even bother to grill some real fresh burgers or some decent food.As far as price goes, check other reviews... no comments. ?I could have given them big fat 0 star if it was an available option ??I hope that when the owners or management team of this place see these kind of reviews, they will do something to improve their food services. I don't mind paying a high price for something worth paying for, and I assume most people do, too!

Ivan's is a must when you're skiing.

Sad!!! I spent my Childhood and most of my early adult hood traveling to and skiing the "Kingdom of Schuss Mountain" It was truly an escape from reality! Magical place, a must ski for families. Something you look forward to around Christmas!! The magic is gone... The days of pulling up to the base and walking into the lobby, to be greeted with a fire, the days skiers and a friendly staff... have been replaced with some medal lockers and a folding chair??? The Swiss / German Facade has been removed from the Exterior? It is no longer a family place. Over the holidays when the crowds show up, Schuss will close one of their main runs to local ski camps, causing over crowding on the runs that are open, about 50%. Hey Schuss Mountain! Are you for sale? Let me know, I'm a buyer and will bring back the resort to what it should be!!!

Recommended by the the hotel on property for dinner, but this really isn't a restaurant. Cafeteria with a bar is a better description; perfect for taking a break during skiing.To say Ivan's has a menu is the same as saying a gas station with a deli case and heat lamps could have a menu. We arrived an hour before close, and the only menu items available were a fried pickle or foil wrapped burger and hot dog in the warmer. The other options like pizza and chicken are not made to order.

Very great place to go when you're on a trip to torch Lake or skiing was there for 5 days loved it with my husband great time very clean condo would go back there again.
