Love this place. It feels great and it's kinda like a lunch room with the larger tables. You can sit with others or by yourself. Absolutely refreshing with how antisocial people have become. The food is good but I would say similar to a coney island.

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast, (the day before opening day deer season) When we walked in the door all the tables were taken so we asked an older gentleman sitting by himself if he would like company, He said sure with a smile and the breakfast adventure began. He told us that he has been coming up to Mancelona for 40 years to hunt. He had stories for your stories which was a good thing because the service that day was slow. But i'll tell you what, we had one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. The eggs were perfect ( over easy ) and the bacon was to die for and you talk about rye toast, holy schmolies, the best ever. would we come back?....... We will, next year, The day before opening day deer season. great place and terrific food.

FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. I ordered carry-out as the restaurant is super busy on weekends. The seating is minimal but the regulars share tables. Love the idea. Very clean. The servers were very nice. I didn't get a chance to check out the buffet, maybe on my next trip. The food...The biscuits and gravy were so friggin' delicious. The French toast super yummy. Will be trying the blueberry pancakes, they also have a gluten-free option as well. I did ask for cheese on my eggs which I didn't get but was still happy. I did have to season my eggs and hashbrowns but that's to be expected. The hashbrowns were done perfectly. Crispy and brown on outside. Hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had in a minute. KUDOS 👏 👏👏👏👏

Our family goes to The Hen's Den every year on our trip to Avalanche Bay water park at Boyne Mountain. There are 17 of us & every year we have been served with the best service & amazing food. They even serve our 9 grandkids first. We appreciate your awesome customer service & the delicious food every time we visit!

Visiting this town for the first time. Reviews said it was delicious. The food was ok at best I wouldn't say delicious. Hashbrowns were hard and burnt Atmosphere was fair. Our waitress acted like we where in her way. She was rude and and kinda bitchy.
