Spent a few days in the area with family for the New Year holiday and they took us here. Great pizza and even better wings! I cannot stop thinking about the wings, we requested they be a little crispy, and they were so good! The place was really cozy and clean. I visit again if in the area.

The owner is complete tool. A very small tool. I have been a patron at the Hideaway since the late 80's. I will now be spending my hard earned dollars at the Frederick Inn and Swamp Bar 2!
it's a great place to go during deer camp. can't wait to go this weekend
Great place.. I'll be back. You ladies rocked the place. Great service.

The advertised price for a burger or cheeseburger is very misleading. This place charges $0.75 EACH for lettuce, tomato, onion, etc. The actual cost for a cheese burger is more like $14 - 15.

It was great inside, not noisy. Pizza was a bomb, they know how to cut their meat making it easy to chew. Supreme oooo.

What a shame.. been coming to the hideaway for 15 years now and wow, it would do the business good to replace the servers asap.
There were maybe 10 patrons in the restaurant, mostly at the bar. 3 dirt bikes in our party, wanted to sit near the bathroom to watch our bikes. The first serve said “plenty of people leave $70,000 trucks out there all the time” bikes don’t have keys or lock sweetie..
there are 2 tables on that end, a 2 person and a 12 person. We wanted to sit at the 12 so can keep all our gear together and spread out to relax. We were told we were not allowed to. Mind you there is a 10 person and 8-8 person tables all completely open on the other side.
Were told if we didn’t move they would not serve us. We said “this is ridiculous” and offered to move if someone came in. Were told if we didn’t like it we could leave. By the way, no one came in the entire time we were there.
I think I’ll take my business to bear lake inn where the food and people are better plus you’re treated like a customer and not begging for food.

Classic "up north" bar. Food has improved a lot over the last few years. If you are a fried pickle fan, definitely try these. They're like spicy, shoestring fries. Fried cauliflower is also great. Other standard bar fare, but I've never had a bad experience. Good drinks, plenty of canned beers to be had for cheap, and a surprisingly good Bloody Mary. Plenty of parking for snowmobiles in the winter and ORVs in the summer. Beautiful patio.
