Pretty cool little place for a bite. Kids had their pizza, the hubs and I had our sandwiches with onion rings.
Everything was very good and fresh!
The woman who waited on us, had fun teasing our son, like how a grandmother would. We felt at home.

Stayed in the area on a weekend vacation to traverse city and glen arbor. Food was made with quality ingredients, but prices definitely reflected that. Our order consisted of 2 chicken subs as they came (no extra toppings), fries, and onion rings, and it was $38. Initially I didn’t think much of it, but after thinking about the posted prices of the sandwiches ($11.25 each, which is fair for the size they are about 8 inches) I realized that onion rings and fries were an additional $15, that was disappointing to realize. I paid for everything I ordered and didn’t make a problem with the staff, just wanted to share my experience, as a lot of people review this location with low prices, and in my experience not so much.

On another note, the woman who took our order was very sour. I understand people can have good and bad days, but this woman was notably rude. We were being polite and patient as she asked us to “Hold on!” When we walked up to the counter. She also seemed to toss our boxes of food on the counter when she brought them to us.

One final piece, I saw a lot of stuff about breakfast here, we did not get the option to get breakfast, that could’ve been because of the time in which we went to eat, which was fine because we wanted subs, but I would like to mention breakfast was not an option when I was there

This is simply one of my favorite breakfast joints anywhere.

We live downstate and always make a point to visit the Pegtown for breakfast at least once when in the area. And we have for many years.

Service is always great, food is good, cooked perfectly, and it’s the furthest thing from a tourist trap.

I hear the food is good so I went there. It was hot inside & no dining space at all! No place to sit & at least a 30-45 minute wait.

This is the perfect small town experience with great classic American food. We were staying a few minutes away and went there two mornings. Great food and very well priced. Awesome waitresses. You must stop in, but get there early, as it gets busy.
