Trattoria Funistrada

On a cold and snowy winter night, our meals at Funistrada were excellent! My wife had the Angel Hair Carsoni with chicken and I had the tortellini with cream sauce. Both dishes were wonderful!

Trattoria Funistrada in Burdickville is a local gem. Fantastic Italian food in a marvelous location.

Our server, Angie, was a delight and made the whole dining experience for us an absolute pleasure. And, our highest praises to the Chef !

Had a wonderful might before thanksgiving meal with our son. Excellent drinks, asparagus app, the eggplant parm (i came here for) was amazing and my wife had the veal piccata also superb. New owner but same experience 👍

This was our third time at Funistrada and we were not disappointed. The chicken piccata and chicken saltimbocca were excellent.

We have always enjoyed Trattoria Funistrada. This was the first time we sat in the main dining area. It was pretty noisy since the tables are so close together. Our food was great and the tiramisu was delicious!

The service is always outstanding; authentic, high quality Italian; the olive oil and spices for bread dipping are yummy; get the “goodness” dessert and a cappuccino to end your meal. Some seating is very close to your neighbor but worth the slight inconvenience. Highly recommend this restaurant - book far in advance as regulars fill up the reservation slots.

There is no better italian restaurant in the universe. If you have not been there, go! But be sure to make reservations early cause they book up fast. They are really that good.

Our server Angie at Funistrada was excellent. We had a variety of dinners & all were excellent. The Spumoni Ice Cream topped off our wonderful evening!

Had a wonderful Italian dinner — every bite was full of rich, authentic flavors. The veal piccata stood out with its tender, perfectly cooked meat and a bright, tangy lemon-caper sauce that was simply amazing. The pasta and sauces complemented each other beautifully, rounding out a truly delicious meal. Warm, welcoming service made the experience even better. Can't wait to go back

What an incredible find! This small, quaint Italian restaurant completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The atmosphere was cozy and charming -- the kind of place that makes you feel like you've stepped into a little corner of Italy.

Our server was wonderful -- attentive without being intrusive -- and what really stood out was how the staff took the time to speak to my wife and me by name throughout the evening. It was such a personal, thoughtful touch that made the experience feel extra special.

As for the food, it was absolutely outstanding. I ordered the veal, and it was hands-down the best I have ever had -- tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Every bite tasted homemade, with just the right balance of rich sauce and melted cheese.

We left already talking about when we can come back. A true gem of a restaurant -- warm, welcoming, and delicious in every way. Highly recommend!

Funistrada is one the best Italian restaurants in Michigan. It hard to get reservations for except in the off season, but it worth the effort. Food is excellent. Service is very good. It is small, so you may feel a little crowded. In summary it is a first class restaurant.

A special place for fine dining without the fuss. Very enjoyable experience, with every wait staff willing to help with a smile. Terrific entrees, and delicious shrimp scampi appetizer. Nice Pinot Noir and prosecco. An annual treat for my wife and me, this time at a wonderful color tour along M-22 and M-32.

Excellent service coupled with delicious food. Ceasar salad dressing restaurant made, yummy. Veal Saltimboca and Chicken Saltimboca both smothered in mushrooms with delicious sauce. Anniversary chicken smothered in cheese with a light lemon sauce. Great experience
