Trattoria Funistrada

Funistrada is one the best Italian restaurants in Michigan. It hard to get reservations for except in the off season, but it worth the effort. Food is excellent. Service is very good. It is small, so you may feel a little crowded. In summary it is a first class restaurant.

A special place for fine dining without the fuss. Very enjoyable experience, with every wait staff willing to help with a smile. Terrific entrees, and delicious shrimp scampi appetizer. Nice Pinot Noir and prosecco. An annual treat for my wife and me, this time at a wonderful color tour along M-22 and M-32.

Excellent service coupled with delicious food. Ceasar salad dressing restaurant made, yummy. Veal Saltimboca and Chicken Saltimboca both smothered in mushrooms with delicious sauce. Anniversary chicken smothered in cheese with a light lemon sauce. Great experience

Made the reservation for my husband's 50th birthday. Got placed in the bar area because the table they had “planned” to put us at was still a part of a large group. So unless we wanted to wait we were given the bar as the alternate. Server was pleasant enough but nothing was made special for the occasion - we were just another table it seemed and we spent quite a bit for a so/so experience.

Very glad we found this little gem! Food was delicious, service was great, loved the atmosphere, can't wait to go back!

As soon as you enter you feel that you are at central station. The noise level is unacceptable for dining. You many tables in a small space.

My five friends and I enjoyed a lovely dinner. The beet and goat cheese salad and butternut soup were two specials that were delicious. The anniversary chicken was very generous. I like that they serve it with a choice of pasta or a salad. The vegetarian options were limited but delicious.

Simply put, everything is and has always been just fantastic. It's a very special place for us to gather with family and friends. 🧡

We celebrated our anniversary at Funistrada. The food and service were outstanding. Our only complaint was a large table of 8+ people were seated next to us and they were very loud.

Loved every minute of our visit , just a bit of a wind tunnel at our table tho...asked about it but there was nothing that could be done. Great food and drink, service great too.

We have been dining here for 19 years. I think we have had Patricia as our server most of those times. She is the best! Actually, everybody at Funistrada welcomes you like family. Food is top shelf. Chicken Saltimbocca, my favorite, tender, juicy, tasty and took half home. Hubby had NY strip, grilled. Delicious, cooked to order and enough he brought some home. Lively atmosphere, you can tell most patrons are repeat visitors who love coming there. It is a true gem. We celebrate birthdays, mothers and fathers days and anniversaries. We passed on dessert, but have had cannolis that are wonderful! Love Funistrada!

Not very accommodating for a person with Ciliac Disease. It would not make much effort to add a gluten free pasta or potato side for those who can't eat gluten.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service! I had the chicken saltimbocca and it was delicious. We look forward to a visit here each year when we make our way up north!

Our food and drinks were awesome as always. Our server, Joni, was especially personable, funny, and accommodating. Overall, the six of us enjoyed an incredibly good dining experience. Funistrada continues to prove itself to be a reliably wonderful dining experience for both us, and our out of town guests.
