This was one of the best meals I've had in quite a while! I ordered ribs and my brother ordered perch and we shared. Both were fantastic. In fact, the perch was the best fish I've had in years!! My wife had the chicken tenders and loved them and said the coleslaw was very flavorful. I recommend the garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered mine loaded and they were delicious. The salad that came with my meal was also very good, with various types of lettuce, veggies and very good croutons.
The restaurant itself is very welcoming, with a fun, beachy
atmosphere, and it's right across from the water with beautiful views! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The prices are very fair and the portions are robust! I will definitely be back and will be telling everyone I know about this wonderful restaurant!

I had the walleye, and it was great! Prices were fair.
The sound in the space was a bit harsh. I was glad to be sitting in the other room when the band was playing.

We've been here for dinner and lunch. Lately, we've been sitting at the bar. (Immediate seating) and ordered food and drinks. The service is great and very prompt. We live in town and know when to visit. It can get pretty busy, and we don't mind going at off times.

I’m not one to complain however was very disappointed with this place. This is our second time to visit MCFCO. Both times food was very lackluster. First time I got a bone stuck in my throat and food didn’t impress me. Thought we’d give them another try only to be disappointed again. This time I got the cod that smelled off and tasted old, fries are too thin and hard with no flavor. Enjoyed the bread and the salad though. Pesto dressing was very flavorful. The coupe de grace was my husband ordered the 10 piece Lake Perch dinner. It was by no means lake perch, it was Zander. Mind you this is a fish restaurant on a waterway. How can you sell Zander for Lake Perch? Truth in menu people! I can spot Zander a mile away, black stripes, solid, and heavy white flesh. Not light, tender, almost gossamer texture like actual Great Lakes Yellow-bellied perch. Please as a Michigan restaurant try to serve actual Great Lakes fish . Fresh not frozen! Sorry MCFCO I won’t be back.

I got the Creole Salmon. The greens had the most delicious taste and flavor. Blue cheese was on point as well. Came for early dinner, not a lot of people. Fries tasted like fresh cut and fresh made. This place is a hidden gem.
