We love visiting Lane's Lanes and the Mead Tavern (formerly Mayville Lanes). The bowling is cheap and always fun! They have glow bowl at 9pm and a few bumper lanes for kids, plus a small arcade. The adult beverages were cold and affordable. The food was made to order and tasty. They have a small espresso machine, and will whip you up some tasty coffee drinks at any hour of the day. Food includes sandwiches, salads and fried foods. An American hidden gem, with friendly staff and an attentive owner. Stop by for affordable entertainment.

Moved to town about a year ago, this is the only close bowling alley. I thought I’d give it a try. First I will say their Facebook page really needs some updating. On the page it says closed Saturdays and Sundays. Last post was from 2019. This bowling alley is very outdated and has a musty smell. Only 3 lanes have bumpers which is unfortunate, as other bowling alleys all the lanes can be converted. First time I came in was on a Thursday, they stated we couldn’t bowl due to a league. Next time I came in was on a Saturday, since there was no available bumpers I paid for a lane anyways and waited for other to leave so my 6 year old nephew could actually play. After we got our bumper lane and ordered food, the only worker there then stated that a bowling league was coming in any moment. Their dog, kept coming up to us while eating waiting to see if we would give him food (I have 3 dogs and don’t allow my dogs to beg). Might I add, I spent $5 to play music that was then turned off in the bowling area and only played quietly in the bar area. So that was a waste (he knew this as I got the change from him to put in it). At this point I felt rushed to eat our food and bowl fast as they were setting up for the leagues to come in. On the walls it does show leagues Monday's and Thursday’s. Nothing about Saturday’s. Food was mediocre, “soft” pretzel was tough (and came after our other food, at this point it was just us two that ordered food). Also had to keep resetting the lane as it didn’t register to pick up the knocked pins. I’ve been to this bowling alley twice. Have given then about $200 total of my money. Will definitely drive the extra miles to go elsewhere. The Mayvillians may love this place but to the new people in town, go elsewhere. Transparency isn’t their strong suit. I will not even discuss their very old shoes (my nephews size 1 were coming apart in the front). Only pro is it cheap to bowl.
