The Helmer House is such a cute little place. It was super cozy and cute! The food was delicious, their cookies are AMAZING, and the owner and staff are wonderful! We had a great time and would highly recommend a stay here at this historic spot.
Stayed there a week and had a different and equally delicious breakfast every morning. Baked goods are terrific, especially the carrot cake, cinnamon rolls, German chocolate brownies, strawberry turnover, lemon cake, cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, molasses, oatmeal scocharoo, and monster) and blueberry muffins.
My friend took me here for breakfast as we were visiting the lake for the day. This is an amazing hidden gem! We both ordered the breakfast BLT, which was fantastic. And their baked goods all looked amazing and they even had gluten-free baked goods! Unfortunately, unfortunately, I did not have my phone with me so I did not take any pictures.
