We heard about the Chicken Shack from another tourist who said it is her favorite Silver Lake restaurant. We know why. The chicken, wings and pulled pork sandwiches were delicious. There are kiosks to order and a quick wait. The seating area is covered with open sides and large TVs. The bar was centrally located for those who want to drink. From the Saturday afternoon guests, it’s clear this spot attracts guests of all ages. We will go back the next time we visit the dunes.

I drive 45 minutes to get here once or twice a year for the wings. The menu is small but everything on it slaps. It's the kind of food you crave and nothing else will do. There are a few things I think could improve, more parking and a second bar. In the height of summer it's hard to get a spot and a drink.
Very safe location. Not a fancy place, But... absolutely the Greatest Wing's anywhere. Not cheap, but the wings are huge! Definitely worth the trip. We'll be back often
