It’s like nothing else in this area. Perfectly smoked meats, amazing cocktails and weekly specials that really show off Chef Jody’s range of talent. The view from the deck overlooking the river is perfect for date night too! Make sure to make a reservation, especially on the weekends, because word is out that this place rocks, and they fill up fast! It truly is like no other place in the area. 10/10!”

“Cowboy Up has become my weekend ritual—and for good reason. The food is always amazing, the people are welcoming, and the whole vibe is just right whether you’re rolling in solo or with a group. The line dancing lessons are a total blast. Big shoutout to Sarah, Penny, and Gloria for being incredible instructors who make it fun for everyone, whether you’ve got two left feet or you’re ready for the dance floor spotlight.

Drinks? They’ve got a great variety—just don’t come in expecting a world-class margarita (yet). That’s my one wish for the future: bring on the flavored margaritas and step up that game a bit! Until then, there’s plenty of other great options to sip on.

Even though it’s a bar, drinking isn’t the main event here. The atmosphere, the dancing, and the crowd of regulars (who start to feel like family) are more than enough to keep you entertained. And huge props to Taylor—the best waiter around—for always being on point.

Cowboy Up keeps me coming back weekend after weekend, and I’m always looking forward to the next visit.”

“Just got home today from a three day stay at Palmer Lakes. We were all pretty sad to leave and if we didn’t have obligations tomorrow, we were going to see if we could stay another night. Our cabin was great. Fit all 5 of us, very cute inside, right on the lake. The weather was terrible yesterday warning, there was even a tornado warning and a gentleman came knocking on our doors and told us where to take shelter (a big house just a few steps away with a basement). We loved the volleyball court, the view, our pontoon, Nibbles and enjoyed a bonfire on our last night! We CANNOT wait to come back!”

Stood in line for 40 min while one person was trying to do walk ins and internet orders. Shame on subway for letting this happen. The guy did great and the food was delicious as always. Subway did bad by this guy and should feel ashamed.”

“My wife and I ordered broasted chicken wich was pretty good. We don't care for white meat so we asked if we could get dark meat and was told yes. When I got the bill I was charged an extra$4 for the dark meat. We were not told this when we ordered. Probably won't go back.”

“Worth the drive from Kalamazoo. I love sitting on the deck, with its stately tree in the middle and gorgeous lakeside views. Last night a friend and I tried The Bacon Jammy (a new burger) and loved it! Yummy mix of flavors, gooey in the best way, with crispy edges on our (medium rare) burger. Wow!
