Stopped for lunch mid-week. Had a great experience. The onion rings are not frozen, they are made fresh. The homemade potato salad was good.
They were kid friendly and the staff was very kind and attentive. We are not from this town and we were treated like we have been there before.
The bathrooms were clean, and the seating areas were very nice.
Highly recommend if you are traveling through and need a good place to stop to eat.
My only suggestion is to put changing table station in the bathroom.

We were coming back from an event and decided to take some back roads home. On our way, my husband found Popp's online. We found it easily enough. Wasn't very busy, but this was late afternoon on a Saturday. We decided to sit at the bar. We were given menus and selected mushrooms as an appetizer. These were whole mushrooms and were quite good. Came with ranch, and it too was quite good. The husband ordered bone in wings, and I ordered boneless wings. Bone in wings we very meaty and the boneless were as expected. The husband had a beer, and I a hard cider. Both were nice and cold. Service was good and food was good and hot.

Ordered a large supreme pizza, and it was delicious! The server was wonderful and very polite. We came in the evening and they had a great live band playing as well! For a small town bar/restaurant I wasn't expecting much, but let me say expectations were blown away 🍕🍺🍻

Service is terrible. You can sit there for 15-20 minutes and not even handed a menu or offered drinks. Have witnessed people get up and leave and the staff don’t seem to care.
Food is great, their generosity with Monday Trivia and Thursday Bingo is remarkable because it cost nothing, 0, notta, nothing to play and the payout is for free food and beverage at your convenience. No time limits on using the gift cards you win. Great couple owners and an asset to Merrill.
