We use to love this restaurant however, lately the service and quality of food has gone down hill! Two suggestions; 1. Bring Tara (the bartender)back. She has personality, great work ethics, and cares about the quality of every drink and food item she serves. Honestly, Riverdog is lacking a good bartender! :( 2. Bring back the appetizers, which were popular and tasty. One example is Riverdog replaced the hot pretzels & beer cheese with pretzel fries. Pretzel fries are TERRIBLE! Full of grease! The cons; Riverdog is beautiful inside, open, and spacious. Great location. I see this restaurant closing if the owner doesn't regroup and take a good hard look at his staff. Bring Tara back and pay her whatever it takes to get her back. I would hate to see another establishment go under because of lack of management and not great customer service. (We were there on 1/11/25. Day bartender left. Night bartender took over. Our experience was with both gals)

Chicken Marsala came with a deep fried & crispy very greasy chic breast that tasted like old oil. I sent it back & asked for the Rueben. My bread was white with butter on it,not toasted. I am more than disappointed. I meet a friend here on a regular basis. Have always been able to count on the food being fabulous! Chicken marsala is made with grilled chicken.

3 of us we all ordered different foods, before we knew it the food was at our table. Young waitress not sure they should be taking cocktail orders or even giving them to us. Our waitress looked to be about 16.

Don't get the kettle chips. They were very obviously overcooked. Chips are not meant to be brown. They looked and tasted burned. The fries were good. The sandwich was okay, just a little over toasted for me.

Extremely loud in your restaurant. My Smashburger didn’t even look like a Smashburger and it didn’t have hardly any sauce on it. Our server was extremely slow overly busy so our service was bad….very disappointing place.

Brought wife to Middleville since I hadnt hiked the trail there. Place across the street was out of BBQ so decided to try here. Wow! Ordered the spring rolls and they were by far the best I had ever had. Our entrees were great too. Realllllly impressed. Will be coming here again. Waitress was prompt and friendly too.

My husband and I were there on a Friday night. 9. 13. 24 we looked up and a couple walked in with a dog.. ( not a service dog) don't get me wrong I have a dog of my own but a place for dogs is absolutely not in a restaurant.. kinda gross if you ask me.. ? if I was the manager I would've asked them to please dismiss your dog... we are a restaurant that serves food and I'm sorry but this is a violation of the law...

The food was okay, small portions though. I had the jambalaya which was an adequate amount. Needed hot sauce. The chicken and waffles was small, half a waffle and a 4oz chicken breast. The chicken Marsala was also small. The vegetable was asparagus which was tough and woody. We won't be going back. A little too disappointing for the prices.
