As a family member to a past client of Great Lakes Chef Catering Services, I am utterly heartbroken and disappointed in this services customer service and food execution. As a member of the party who did not receive a single piece of food, the lack of respect for the client including their hard earned money, their time, and their events is shocking.Areas of growth include:- refunding payment: consider refusing payment immediately after FAILURE to produce agreed upon services.- Communication with clients: instead of ignoring and blocking your clients, politely cancel and refund so clients can make alternative arrangements with caterers who actually care and can execute service.- preparedness: watching Chef Tamera and their partner arrive with Kroger bags, an hour late, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. Come prepared for any and all events.I do not recommend this caterer. And I honor this catering service with 0 stars. I am recommending others steer as clear and as far as possible from Chef Tamera, and Great Lakes chef catering services.
Food was great, nice portions and very affordable
Really great!!!! We had the lamb, salmon and pork tamales... All of them and the sides were fantastic... (And I'm not usually a tamale fan- but liked these!!!) Highly recommend!!!! Great job Tamara!!!!
She came out and cooked for a retirement party. The food was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend their services.
We had them service a small gathering to celebrate my mom's retirement. The food was all excellent, and the service was top notch; attentive and very prompt. Planning on a fairly short notice, Tamara enthusiastically helped shape our menu through off hours texts, answered all our questions, and offered helpful suggestions. Everyone was friendly, personable, and professional through preparation and serving. Even making the young children grilled cheese when they started to get fussy.Saving her number for the future, and will absolutely recommend.
I paid for a dinner party, I give her all the details: time, food, people and location. This party was for some military vets. She said she can do it and sent me an invoice. I paid everything was ok at this point. Checked to make sure we good for the party the next day she said yes. 3 hours before the party she text me and says she can't make it and I need to reschedule it. I tell her unfortunately I can't she said I can't get a refund I said ok and will figure out that day. After she over charged me it's a month later and I still haven't received a fund. She told me I need to be more patient till she book another event and have the money to repay me. I WOULD NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH HER OR LET ANYONE I DO DO BUSINESS WITH HER
Amazing food at reasonable prices. We ordered for the office and we were all extremely happy with the food and the delivery! I 100% recommend.
Extremely unsafe drivers and argumentative owner.I was followed by a small blue SUV down Williams Lake road today for over 3 miles. The driver was riding my bumper the complete time, and even tried passing me in an unsafe manner. There were cars in front of me, so even if they passed me, they would have nowhere to go.As we approached Dixie Highway, the driver cut around me on the right shoulder and almost hit a patching crew that was working in the right hand turn lane. The light had been red for at least 5 seconds and the driver of the car cut back around the patching crew, swerved around me in the left lane, and proceeded to drive right through the red light nearly causing an accident.The vehicle had a great lakes chef sign on it, and I tried to call the owner to alert them of their drivers behavior. The phone would ring twice and then click off. The owner text me about 10 minutes later saying their phone was not working and to please text. I told them what happened and the owner said "No That did not happen. So I'm not sure what you are talking about".The owner then proceeded to tell me that they will reprimand the driver. So it went from "No, that did not happen" to "I will reprimand the driver".While I can't comment on their food, I would highly advise NOT to use this company based on the extremely unsafe driving, probably because they were late with a food delivery.The owner is extremely lazy and did not take the time to call me. I'm a business owner and if someone made this claim to me about one of my employees, I would immediately want to talk to them to gather details on the incident. The lack of caring on the owners part made me come and post this. Hopefully in the future they will take calls from concerned citizens as legit and spend 5 minutes on the phone instead of calling me a liar.
