The Proving Grounds Coffee & Ice Cream

Ah, Proving Grounds… what a gem! This place has become synonymous with warm memories for me, my coworkers, and my family. My daughter lovingly calls it “the one with the ice cream cones,” which just melts my heart.

The staff are always pleasant and helpful, the food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It’s a spot I find myself recommending often, both in my personal life and my work life,because it never disappoints.

Proving Grounds truly has a special place in our routine, and I’m grateful for the experiences we’ve had here.

I’ve been to Proving Grounds to get a cup of coffee 100 times and have loved my coffee every time. Today, however, is the first time we’ve ordered sandwiches and I’m so mad that we haven’t been ordering for years 🤣 Our lunch was outstanding. My daughter asked me to add: “truly amazing and incomparable, we will exclusively dine from Proving Grounds from here on out” lol. As you can see, we love this place. GO!!!

Had a great experience here got a ice cream for my wife and a ice cream for me. It was delicious I love Guernsey ice cream. I grew up with one of the McGuires. Also got my dog a pup cup. They were finishing off the thing of ice cream and I got the last bit. It ended up being like three scoops and I only ordered a scoop. Very nice

A unique coffee shop that enjoys a twist on its name, a parody of the more famous GM Proving Grounds test track. Don't be fooled, just like it's counterpart, this coffee house and ice cream shop puts out some awesome stuff! Coffee, mocha, cappuccino and of course ice cream, are all available at this awesome coffee house! Take in the nostalgic feeling decor as you enjoy a hot coffee, especially as the weather cools off here in southeast Michigan! Come enjoy a nice coffee or ice cream during your next visit!

I love this local coffee shop! We love that they have ice cream for the kids, so our whole family can enjoy coming here. Their coffee is excellent. Highly recommend!

If you know you’ll be closed, please update your Google hours. I drove 15mins out of my way to come here. Waste of my time:(

We love to visit the Proving Grounds every time we visit Milford. So many delicious drinks, pastries, and frozen treats!

We loved the ice cream and the atmosphere! Super cute Cafe and friendly service!

If I could give 6 stars I would! My husband and I have been in town all week and visited every night. Where do I begin? House-made syrups, fresh roasted fair trade beans, Guernsey ice cream, beautiful indie/rustic decor & lighting, and “Marvel” tip jar competitions?! Sweet/Friendly staff. Everything was equally delicious & delightful.
