Our experience at The Quarry Restaurant in Monroe was nothing short of an embarrassing disaster, and it left both my girlfriend and me completely frustrated and humiliated. We were seated at a beautiful outdoor table right by the water what should have been the start of a peaceful, scenic evening quickly turned sour thanks to one of the most unprofessional servers we’ve ever encountered. We’re both adults—my girlfriend is 21, and I’m 23—and we simply ordered drinks, nothing outrageous, just two cocktails to enjoy while taking in the view. But instead of being treated like paying customers, we were immediately met with suspicion and condescension. The “manager” with an air of misplaced authority, took one look at our perfectly legitimate, government-issued IDs and flat-out accused us of using fakes. Not only did she refuse to serve us, but he didn’t even bother to verify the IDs properly. She didn’t run them under a scanner, didn’t call anyone else over, didn’t compare them to any database she just made a snap judgment and doubled down on it, repeatedly calling them “sketchy” and brushing off any polite attempt we made to explain. The way she spoke to us was rude and dismissive, like we were some kind of troublemakers instead of a couple trying to enjoy a night out. We were left sitting there, surrounded and EMBARRASSED ALSO TELLING OTHER TABLES THEY WERE FAKE !!!! feeling singled out, disrespected, and embarrassed for no valid reason. The whole situation reeked of unprofessionalism, and the managers smug attitude turned what should have been a relaxing evening into a deeply aggravating experience that left a sour taste in our mouths—without even a sip of what we actually came for.

I've been here twice. First time when they originally opened. Service was ok but food time was horrible. I cut them some slack and tried them again, being new and still trying work things out. Bad decision on my part. Food time was again horrible. Waited over an hour and ended up walking out. This place needs to go or at least the people running it!

The food is great. Our service was terrible. Our server had a pleasant demeanor, but very much failed at taking care of our table. Having reservations in advance, party of 6 at 6pm. We were sat promptly on time yet not approached until 6:47pm, after finally standing up and asking for a server? We ordered waters, pop, coffee and a can from the bar, along with appetizers. We enjoyed the appetizers before ever placing our dinner order, the can from the bar never came, the coffee was not refilled, the waitress was busy with another party, yes, but it wound down completely before we were done eating. We had too many issues with needing to accommodate ourselves. Including needing assistance paying our bill. Unfortunately our waitress chose to give her full attention to the other party, walking past us dozens of times, we had to tip her accordingly. 2.5 hours of being ignored. It was also our fathers birthday dinner. The food was great. Her tip was not.

we were just passing through and looking for a quick bite, and I couldn't be more satisfied! our server was kind and attentive, the restaurant was dreamy with a rustic vibe to it, and the food was absolutely amazing. affordable, tasty and large portions. I'll be sure to stop by here whenever I can. the lobster rolls and poutine are tasty!! (don't judge my food combination please ?)
Servers turned us away at ten pm. Said kitchen was closed. They say they are open until 11pm. All we wanted was food.

We drove all the way from Indiana to try this restaurant out while we were there for the horror museum. we get there and it’s a beautiful scenery love the outdoor tables but too bad we didn’t get to sit there because all the tables for taken. so then we proceeded to look at the menu and we kinda already know what we want so I try to order a lobster bisque and the pulled pork sliders. Mind you it’s about 30 minutes into waiting. We finally get drinks and everything which were just sodas then we are waiting for our food, which is taking so long and then we’re told that they are out of lobster bisque And our food should be out shortly. After waiting another 10 minutes or so the food finally comes out and the server brings out somebody else’s order. Let’s say that was very irritating so they bring out our food about five minutes later. We get the food and the food is not the freshest and like it had been sitting out for a while then on top of that, my cousin didn’t get his fries that he ordered. My wife’s steak was so dry and almost burnt. I do not recommend this place because now my stomach is hurting like some other reviewers that posted before me Feel like I may have a slight case of food poisoning and if this is the type of food that they are going to be serving, they need to close down again or train their staff better.

We stopped through while in town visiting other places. We thought the ambiance would be neat. The hostess did not appear friendly. Did not say hi when I walked up and said hello. Did not smile. We were sat but had to sit a while before being addressed. Our waitress was nice but she did not check in as frequently as she could have. We waited a long while for our food. My salad came out on the same plate as my steak. The steak was super dry. The poutine fries were okay. It took a while to get the bill as well. If we come back to the area, we will definitely choose a different place to eat. Do not recommend.
