Yes, I recommend their tasty donuts, but you’d better get in there early in the day. Went in on Sunday at 9:15 and all the good ones were gone. There sat plenty of plain stuff, but not what I’m after. They’re open until 1:00, but they’ll even be outta the plain stuff by then. I understand they don’t want many leftovers, c’mon man you’re a bakery that makes too much of one & not enough of the others. (and usually not enough at all)

Ordered a special designed cake for my husbands surprise 40th Birthday party… and I have to say… it was absolutely delicious. Nothing but compliments about the freshness of the cake and cupcakes both. This will be my go to for any celebration from now on. I recommend Monica’s to anyone looking for a fresh, moist, and delicious pastry or baked good.

they started charging more for the donuts, the donuts got smaller and 99% of the time they are stale and hard. I don't know whats going on at your Dixie location but I'm definitely done giving them any kind of business. your thought process on selling old donuts is wild.

I stopped in this morning around 7am and surprised there was limited donuts, maybe 8-10 selections, since whoever makes them was off today, so I got old donuts from I assume yesterday an I was charged full price. Had time to think about it and that didn’t seem right.. just wanted to share that 18.50 for a dozen of old donuts 👎

Just a FYI, if you go on a Sunday after 8am, the probability of getting the doughnuts you like is slim. They are ALL good tho.

Working in polish-dominated Hamtramk, MI, I fell in love with paczki. Moving to Belleville MI, working in Toledo, I needed to find REAL paczki - that pseudo-paczki-junk at Kroger/Meijer is a jelly bismark.
Monica makes real paczki. I've gone there from Traverse City since retiring in 2017- on trips to two Monroe fundraisers falling close to Fat Tuesday.
The banquets fell 10 days away on either side of Fat Tuesday this year. I called the store, hoping for a pre-or-post Paczki Day special order.

I took a chance to ask if she could do a dozen poppyseed paczki. My Auntie Bessie used to make poppyseed 'shishka', a bohemian version of polish paczki, in the 1950s. I've not had one in 65+ years, after moving from Chicago . Every year, I've wondered if a paczki-maker would be so kind as to fill some with poppyseed.

I ordered a cake for my husband and a friend’s birthday. The order was wrong. I called Monica’s Bakery once a week for over a month to let them know about the wrong order. Every time I called, Monica was not there and was told she rarely comes to the bakery. However, I was promised that they would relay the message to Monica and that she would return my call. I never heard from Monica and the bakery staff themselves didn’t take the initiative to remedy the problem.
