Over the years their hotdog chili has changed. I no longer think they are the best. The chili sauce is way to sweet know. The last two years yak!!!

My sister and I went on their "last day" of the season, we both had a flyer that said we wad guaranteed to win something, be it food or T-shirt. They had a deck of cards, and they spread it out into a fan shape and told us to pick one. We both got 1 pint of chilli absolutely free. I hope this is something they do every year. Their food is amazing. Root beer comes in tall glasses with handle on them that's stored in a freezer. You get cold pop without worrying that ice is going to water it down. You pull into a bay and sit in your car to eat. They have trays that attach to driver side window. Definitely worth going. Can't wait for them to open back up come spring.

I'm going out on a limb here giving 3 stars.Service was great... quick and easy.Not fond of the chili dogs. They tasted like spaghetti sauce on the dogs. Our dog enjoyed them. But unfortunately, we weren't impressed.Sorry.But like I said...the service was great and the people were very friendly. Just need to revamp the chili.

This place never let's down. Love their Chilli dogs! Have moved out of town and when we head back to monroe we have to stop on occasion. If you haven't tried, you must. Best root beer and hot dogs ever.

So last week when I stopped in and grabbed lunch they gave me a flyer that said "free chili dogs,free root beer, and free prizes like TSHIRTS it says for Nov 3rd & 4th." So I stopped in today and presented the flyer and so I place my order, and she has me pick out of a deck of cards and I won a free pint of chili, so she goes off to prepare my food, and I go knock on the door and ask her if I could trade the chili in for a T-shirt, and the guy behind the counter says very rudely, NO and didn't even bother to turn around to look at me!! Giving me the shirt instead of the chili would of been good business, for many reasons. But most importantly he was very rude to a paying customer.Not too mention there was tons of shirts, and the flyer was very misleading. I will not return next year as a customer I will make the drive and go to Coney Island

This hot dog drive in is golden in my family. I drove in from the Chicagoland area for the last day of the season today ... and they did not disappoint! Two all the way and a root beer!! I even got some sauce to tie me over for winter. Living in Chicago, their hot dogs are NOTHING like these hot dogs I grew up on. Seeds on the bun, peppers, tomato, pickles, relish ... Arrrggghhhh!!! And if I do manage to find a chili dog, there's beans in the chili ... Oy! Just take me to Monroe's Original with the onions, mustard and their amazing sauce - no beans! The dogs are amazing and it really is the bar that I measure all other hotspots dogs by. Thank you Monroe's Original for consistent amazing not dogs!
