Severely bad customer service. Politically and religion-ally.
Have stopped in twice over the last two summers while up in the area camping with family.
If your looking for an upscale , cookie cutter brew pub atmosphere this place may not be for you.
While I have been in many a brew pub around the country in my travels, and am knowledgeable about craft beers. This is the only mead shop I have visited and the mead there was very good.
Pleasant staff and a laid back atmosphere.
We took a case of different flavored mead with us and camping took on a much more relaxed vibe.
Looking forward to our next trip and our visit there and the several excellent pics in the area.
Unfortunately I was only able to pick up. The place was nice and the staff and clientele were very friendly and helpful. The mead was great. Really enjoyed the Bardic Blue. I would definitely recommend a stop here. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Might better be called honey selzer. Too much flavoring. Not the mead of the bardics. Ask why its called short mead. Not sure if the flavoring is real juice, maker was evasive at best. Wish I could return the product. Don't be fooled by a tasting, buy a glass
Steve talked with my wife and I while we were there. He has a great sense of humor, and we talked about the making of home-made meads. I did a flight of different meads and bought two meads to take home.
Very good!
Wonderful mead, comfortable atmosphere. The owner Steve is usually the one working and provides great humor and a community feel whether you are local or a visitor. Definitely worth a visit and take some bottles home!
The mead was great!! $12 for a 22-oz bottle. Wish they came in smaller sizes but it was easy to sip on just one vs having to order 2 or 3 $12-$15 cocktails over a cpl hour span. The decor of the place was a step out of the 1960s, in dire need of being remodeled and decorated to feel inviting. Lacks a lot in terms of a desirable destination, more of a local hangout for people who seem who overlook that? Felt more like someone's converted garage.I would, however, get mead to go if I ever go back. The mead was very enjoyable, my hangup was the dated and messy surroundings.
Great place with lots of fun, good people, and wonderful mead.
Great meads/coffee and conversation!
Good people, good help with knowledge of supplies, and asume place to sit down for an excellent glass of mead.
