Good small town breakfast spot. Food is good, service is good and prices are fair.

First time my husband I ever been to Shirley’s. We wanted a quick early morning date because our hours conflict- him nights 12 hours I’m on early mornings as I come home, he’s getting ready to go -he comes home, I leave for work. Shirley’s was open 7 am. We had the full order biscuits and gravy ( yumm), 2 eggs with sausage links (yumm) tst and split a side of hashbrowns.
The food was hot!!! Not for a minute either it was well at the temperature food should be! Being a chef for many years along with running other restaurants I’ve had my fill of places in the south west of Michigan. Working in the Detroit area up to Gladwin at a resort, I can’t help but to critique food especially now with the economy and prices on food. I give Shirley’s Chuckwagon Cafe 5 stars completely! Clean calm/friendly atmosphere with great tasting, homemade, priced fairly for the portion sized breakfast along with friendly service. Thank you❣️

Can’t wait to stay by for lunch

Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian so not sure what all they eat. I know vegetarians who eat eggs then vegan rest of the day Shirley’s is definitely worth the visit and taste for yourself HONESTLY!

Dietary restrictions: Size difference on breakfast - 1/2 order to full order , 1 egg to as many as you want, white , wheat and whole grain option. Nothing was under or over seasoned.

Parking: Family owned and definitely the feel. We wanted small, clean and home cooked hot food with a friendly atmosphere. ???

Kid-friendliness: Kid size portions and menu

Wheelchair accessibility: We seen no difficulties

This was a nice little find while driving through Nashville, Michigan. It is a small but Cozy restaurant right downtown. I had the Burger on Texas toast with ham and cheese, I think it was called the Shirley burger or something like that. Very tasty. The server was very friendly and the food came out quickly. If you're in Nashville and looking for some good food this is a good place to stop.

Just had their smothered chicken breast and it was to die for. The mushroom onion combo on top of the chicken covered in Swiss cheese was fantastic! The chicken was incredibly moist, as well. I thought I was dining at a five star restaurant. Just wow!

The food is good quality and tasty. I was happy with our server. It wasn't my first time there, and won't be my last. Nice small-town atmosphere.
