My husband and I stopped in on our way to Seney Wildlife Refuge. What a great choice. We both chose the Reuben sandwich, one with sweet potato fries, one with onion rings. Delicious!!!!!! The corned beef was fall apart tender, with generous amounts of meat, cheese and sauerkraut. The onion rings and fries were both very crisp without being greasy. You're missing out if you don't visit the UP and get some grub here. When you go at 12:30pm and they are already out of one of their mains - that means it's GOOD FOOD.
Very friendly place, arrived at dinner time. The waitress was very busy so service was slow. I was excited to try a pasty, it looked yummy. The taste, not so much! There was an OFF flavor, I tried the potatoes SEPARATELY, then the meat. Just no. Something tangy and strange. The chowder was creamy, the patè was flavorful.
