I have been coming to Louis' Chop House for about the past 20 years, and it is always excellent. I have never had a sub-par experience at this restaurant. The absolute best prime rib I have ever had (and I have had it all over the country). Great place for a casual dinner or a special night out. Always great food, service, and atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced for this caliber of cuisine.

food was terrific .....service was a little grumpy at times and didn't want to accommodate the simple request to split bills between couples ...... but she knew her stuff . Prices were in the marketplace maybe a little better . I highly recommend as a steak house and it competes with the best of them

Ordered the bone in dry aged filet mignon and it was fatty and bland. My wife ordered the veal and it was also very bland. The al gratin potatoes were tough and greasy. We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was only 25% full. For $250 for two people the value simply is not there. We've been here a few times over the past couple years and the last visit was such a disappointment by comparison to previous visits. Louis has changed and not for the best.

Ordered 20$ salads with steak; steak was ordered medium and medium rare on the other, steaks were well done/med well done. One had a slight pink in the center. SLIGHT. Barely warm. Chewy. It was maybe 3oz piece of meat, could have sprung for a better cut at that price point.
Blue cheese dressing was thin and without blue cheese chunks, or much flavor. Tons of shredded chewy sun dried tomatoes. That was the 20$ salad.
We were there as guests of another couple and didn't want to make a fuss. Second time for a truly bad meal there. Others have been just okay. Last visit for us.

We were a group of five. All had excellent meals. The service was great, drinks excellent and service outstanding. I even accidentally left my phone behind and thankfully realized it before too long and they were waiting when we got there, even though the restaurant had closed. High marks. We'll be back.

Well I will say the service was excellent however I'm looking for atmosphere when I eat out and spending close to $200. It was a beautiful July evening and I wanted a patio dining. I was told their patio hadn't been used in 2 years. What a shame , I won't be back, I can eat INSIDE a restaurant anytime, but right now in Michigan most people I talk to want to be seated outside on a beautiful patio.

What a beautiful experience from the time we were greeted by the hostess to our server Ivy. We had the Saganiki for an app (fun experience lighting it up) and the cheese was very flavorful with the pita pieces. My Old Fashion was made perfectly and tasted great with my wife also enjoying her cocktail as well.Then followed by the Chateaubriand. With this the table service making the glaze was also a classy fun experience and a nice addition to the delicate and delicious cut of meat that was prepared with pride, care and attention to detail to make every bite of the medium rare Chateaubriand. Haven't been to a nice restaurant with items approximately priced with such a enjoyable and comfortable setting combined with great service and meal. Thanks y'all!
