Kankakee Grille New Buffalo

Our server, Scott, was great! The food not so much. Very disappointing. Husband and I both order the ribeye, medium rare. Both seemed cooked to order but both were very very dry, not at all like any ribeyes we've ever had there, or anywhere for that matter. The vegetable was Brussel sprouts which were steamed with no seasoning and no flavor. Roasted would have been an improvement. The fries used to be shoestring but this time were a thicker cut and just not as good as the shoestrings. Overall we were both incredibly disappointed. It was definitely NOT a $46 steak. It'll be awhile before we do that again.

Reservations are a must, especially on nights when there is a show. The menu has something for everyone, from burgers and meatloaf to lobster rolls and filet mignon! We've had all of these and more! Everything is pretty tasty. On our last visit we had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, we added the peppercorn sauce as gravy ($1 extra) . If you like a pepper gravy this is delicious. Also had a pulled pork sandwich with crispy onion straws and regular fries. Most items come with Parmesan truffle fries which are tasty but sort of thin, I just wanted regular fries.... Both are good. Our server was super helpful in describing menu items, got our order to us timely and checked on our table frequently. Sorry I forgot her name. All in all Kankakee Grille is our choice for a casual dinner with tasty options!

We were there for dinner. Both ordered the filet mignon. It was cooked medium. Super chewy and hard to cut. Had n flavor at all. When we brought it to our servers attention, they said they told the kitchen but that Copper Rock gets first choice of the steaks. We also inquired about the Catch of the Day and was told the box just says “white fish”. Would like to have a better idea of that.

So slow when nobody is here. Filet was absolutely awful. All gristle. Like the worst. Mashed potatoes were great. Terrible service

I took my wife here for dinner as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the 2 hostess at the counter, which were very nice. While they were checking us in a woman, idk manager or what walked behind us telling them two to make sure they switch out servers. The two then began talking to her about so and so called off and this and that making it a very uncomfortable spot for me and my wife. That should have waited until we was done being checked in! Very unprofessional I thought. They literally talked right through us.

The online menu for this restaurant is inaccurate. Over half of the starters menu was no longer on the menu. No crab cakes, corn ribs, wings, bacon jalapeno dip....and the food we did order was just ok. The staff was really great though! Super nice!

Not a great choice if you're looking for quality. Food was sub par and the service was slow and inattentive.

Burgers were raw. Not medium or medium well. The bun was saturated with blood. I then had to look for a server (any server) to get our waitress because we couldn't find her. They remade our burgers and by the time they came back to us everyone in our party was finished and gone No compensation or anything not a free coke or anything else for our wait. Poor customer service

was our anniversary, we enjoy sitting in the booths, and enjoy the service and very delicious food

We eat at Kankakee Grille on every visit to the Four Winds Casino. We find the food delicious and sufficient for any appetite.

Our young server was very kind and friendly. He did an excellent job through a busy shift and gave excellent service.

Jason was awesome! Great service! Rib eye was a little tough but ribs were very good and filet was good

Had the Meatloaf. It was Slightly Warm along with the mashed potatoes and broccoli. Would like my food hot when served. Wife had the blue gill. The french were only slightly warm also ! Need the food Hot when Severed.. .

this place is disgusting. Every dish we ordered and there were four of us sucked. The macaroni and cheese was dry. The ribeye sandwich was in edible all gristle the black and blue burger was a joke. Completely overpowered by blue cheese. If you stay at four winds do yourself a favor and bring a sub sandwich or order pizza and eat in your room

Food is mediocre nothing to brag about. My husband's steak was overdone. Waitress barely came around. Let's just say I've been worse places but probably won't return here. Maybe a good place to sit and have drinks only.
