Kankakee Grille New Buffalo

A rare miss for the Kankakee Grille. One entree was incorrect. Two others were served still raw. We ordered different entrees in place of the raw items that were very tasty. But the replacements were not expedited and we were there for well over two hours. Our sever was great, however. And when I asked, I was told that the chef was very upset that our food was served raw and that the kitchen was checking the food closely after that. The manager visited our table after we were done eating and gave us a couple of desserts.

I will never eat here again. The food came out cold after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes. We returned the food, which was a mistake as it took another 1/2 hour to get it back. To top everything, they mischarged us. Do not eat here.

Food was very good, the hostess & waiter where polite. My whiskey sour unfortunately was not the best. Not sure about the entertainment they played one song & quit. Overall my wife enjoyed the experience.

The menu is pretty diverse. We had the friend greens beans - OMG!; Buffalo Blue Corn biscuits that were delicious. My daughter's steak was overdone - she requested medium well, it was well done. My salmon was excellent. Service was very good, but not amazing. Overall, Kankakee Grille is pretty consistent so I would recommend.

We arived at 545pm as our reservation stated. We di no see a waitress for 15 mins. She took our drink order and it sat on he bar for 10 mins so I retreived them myself. After a 1/2 hour we still did not get our food. There were only maybe 4 other tables occupied so tthere was no reason everyhing took so long. When our food arrived it was COLD. Found tthe manager and complained and sent the food back since it was cold and the fish was disgusting. We re-ordered hamburgers which took anoher 10 mins. What were we offerd for the lousy food and serviice? NOTHING! We will NEVER go bak. A wasted 1 1/2 hour for bad food and service.I understnad for a busy restuarant slow service but in a empty restaurant it's shameful.

Crystal our bartender / server did great. Had a ribeye and it was awesome. We also had the filet mignon. No steak sauce needed..

My Husband's Steak was Too Bloody, wasn't the way he wanted it Cooked and Mines was Tooo Tough, couldn't hardly Cut it with the Knife, this was my Birthday Getaway and this was Our first Time Eating There And OUR LAST TIME.

This restaurant has the potential to be a good place. But once again the service is a failure! We waited 20 minutes and not one server came to our table... We got up and left... Horrible!!!

Made reservations for a high top and when we got there we could only get a booth in the back corner

Burger didn't wow us. Flavor was plain and came across like a frozen patty or that the meat was just compressed too much. Fries were delicious and so were the specialty cocktails. Food portions were satisfactory. Overall the food was fine.

We had ordered the red wine which was half price special. Our server Stephanie told us they did not have the red wine but could offer us a bottle of $90.00 wine for half price. We of course declined and only ordered 2 glasses of wine. Why have a special

Made dinner reservations at 5pm and was seated immediately. Our waiter was prompt and very helpful in picking out the right wine. We liked how the food came out with the appetizers and then dinner instead of most restaurants are too fast to where you can't finish the apps. We Ordered the daily special surf and turf and that was amazing. The appetizers we tried the deviled eggs and bacon Jalapeño cheese dip. All food was hot and fresh and delicious. For the price we both thought it was great. We will be back!

Service was good. Hostess and waitress very friendly. The only drawback that I'm not fond of is Fourwinds now using open table for reservations. I'm familiar with open table just seems unnecessary for a casino restaurant. I would rather call the restaurant or hotel for a reservation. You cannot even get through to them for information Just my opinion
