There were only 5 people there and the bartender still took at least 20 min to make our 2 drinks. He had no personality and seemed like he wanted nothing to do with being there. The whitefish dip was also yucky. We ended up leaving instead of ordering entree's, which I have never done with a restaurant.

We love Hummingbird. The drinks are always amazing and I will come again and again if for nothing else to have a Negroni. Up to now we've never been underwhelmed with the food, but I wouldn't recommend the skirt steak - it was fairly plain and lacking in flavor. Any of the other entrees have always been great.

We visited for the first time and discovered after waiting for food for over an hour that the kitchen was short-staffed. However, that was not shared when we arrived. From a customer service perspective, we would have had a choice to stay and wait or go someplace else. The cocktails were really good, the staff was nice enough, apologetic, and the food was good but maybe not good enough to have us return. With this kind of wait, another good customer service option is to comp dessert or offer something for us to return next time when they have a full staff.

We chose this restaurant because they take reservations and we didn't want to wait for a table. It wasn't very busy. We sat outside on a nice summer evening. The food was okay and the service was good but we will not likely go back.

First time dining and it was a wonderful experience. The building is amazing and how they positioned the bar is brilliant. Food was great, as was the service. Not the largest menu but they knocked it out of the park with the two appetizers, two entrees, and dessert we had. Drinks were interesting and good. Had a number of non-alcoholic cocktails, beers, etc as well.

July 1, 2023: So many things were awful. Had to persuade the waitress to ask the chef to cook the steak rare, were told it couldn't be cooked rare due to the texture (it wasn't sous vide)? The fish was not local so chose a salad with chicken skewer. Chicken was fine, but the salad was swimming in dressing (forgot to ask for it on the side) to the point that it was inedible. We also ordered a side of brussel sprouts as an appetizer, but they were served with our meal. The brussel sprouts were also swimming in salty sauce and inedible. At least the mixed drinks were decent. /sigh. To top it all off, we were seated at a table next to the bar, I asked my date to sit closer to me (because, well, he's the type of guy you want get close to) so he sat 90 degrees from me, at the side of the table. NOTE this for the next part: before he moved to the side of the table, he was seated across from me with his BACK TO THE BAR AND REST OF THE RESTAURANT. After about 20 minutes, another couple was seated near us (but over 6 feet away). The manager? came over and asked my date to move. When he protested, she raised her voice and said, "No one wants to look at your back." If there had been any number of reasons presented - the wait staff need more space, etc. we would have understood. He didn't move, and she came back a few times sounding more and more irritated. Her comments and her tone made both of us feel unwelcome. On our way out, my date said we wouldn't be back. The manager? almost yelling, followed us to the door, saying how she didn't need our business etc. Diners stopped talking and watched the scene, she was that loud. Needless to say we won't be back, the food was poor and so was the service. For the price of our dinner and drinks we expected better food and better service.

This was our first visit . The restaurant is very clean and attractive. Great atmosphere with a friendly efficient server. The food was tasty and seasoned especially well . We would definitely go there again .

Hummingbird Lounge was delightful! The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. A friend and I split a couple of appetizers - the smoked whitefish dip and seared tuna, which were generously portioned and full of flavor! It's always so nice when the owner comes by to say hi. Ben was gracious and stopped over to see how we enjoyed our experience. We will definitely come back!

My family and I came in for dinner on Father's Day and had the best experience. The owner Ben warmly greeted us upon entering as the hostess sat us in a preferred booth. The food was fantastic as were the drinks! I highly recommend the Smoked Pineapple Margarita and the Rosita Spritz. The waitress was very attentive and kind offering suggestions on an entree and drink options. The ambience was wonderful and the establishment extremely clean. We sat indoors but we will be back again to enjoy the experience on the beautiful patio. Thank you for a great meal!

Overpriced fast food that isn't even done well. They have very limited options on the menu, so I can say we tried most of it and the only food item that was decent was the fish from the fish and chips. Burger was a well done hockey puck that came off of a Sysco truck. The chicken tacos and crab cake went uneaten, all fries were over cooked and rock hard, and the shrimp cocktail is already sitting in sauce when they serve it to you. We had the smoky pineapple margarita that wasn't even smoky and was extremely sour, and their blueberry bramble tasted like a blueberry seltzer from a can. Although the food and drinks were disappointing, we did have great service and it was a nice looking restaurant. This place could be great if they increased the food/cocktail quality and played music.

Food and drinks were great- amazing fries, fish and chips, burger, salad, crab cakes- salmon entree was slightly overcooked, but I didn't ask them to replace it. The service was great- very attentive- so they probably would have if I asked. Drinks were a huge win- get the spicy pineapple drink. Atmosphere was fun- beachy, more upscale inside in the main building. Will definitely be back.

First visit, will return and hope to sit somewhere other than under a speaker! Clean, good food, good service, if a little pricey. My carrots were almost raw and no seasoning, but meat and potatoes were delicious.

We had dinner at the Hummingbird on a Saturday evening. We were very surprised to see that the restaurant was really quiet for a Saturday. Ambiance was nice but little on stark side. Menu was basic and has not changed from what I can tell from other reviews. I asked about specials, but there were none. We tried the smoked pineapple margarita and it was good. We had the short rib dish, lemon chicken and tuna appetizers. Found it all to be good- not out of this world. Seems to be a lack of creativity here. We would probably go back for cocktails.

We enjoyed two tasty lunch size portions for the price of dinner. The salmon was a good quality but with no sauce would be very bland. We ordered a side of brussel sprouts for $7 that measured maybe a cup. Not enough to share but made a great flavor adder to the salmon. The $10 wine was very light and a low quality house. I watched as the tender was careful not to over pour a serving directly into the glass. All and all, good dinner, just over priced and needs a little bit extra to desire a return visit.

First time here and loved it! The cocktails were great. Between my husband and I, we had a Negroni and an espresso martini - both excellent! Ordered the roast chicken and short ribs - both beautifully seasoned, flavors were great! Cozy low lit vibe and was fun to sit at the bar post dinner. Service was very friendly and we received great suggestions. Would absolutely come back!
