Love the environment, food, and people here!
Scrambled eggs, two tiny pieces of toast and a wedge of pineapple for $13. I think their food was fine, just a bit pricey for the portion.

We were on a six day trip around upper Michigan and had been grabbing sandwiches at grocery stores because most lunch stops were dingy, dark, had no choice in menu, and had slow service. We were pleased with such a refreshing change at this lovely little restaurant.
I had the Yardbird sandwich and to me, it was perfect. I can see how some people would think it was very small if you have a very large appetite. And yes, $14 is a lot to spend for sandwiches, but that seems to be what most places are charging anyway.
The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. We hardly lost any time in our travels at all waiting for our lunch. It wasn’t busy when we were there, probably because it was the off-season.

Very good panini style sandwiches and much more for breakfast or lunch. Great friendly and super fast service. It’s an excellent find in basically middle of nowhere.
Also full bar, many coffee styles and even fresh pastries.

The food was excellent. I enjoyed the Rosa Bud coffee, Italian Grilled Cheese and the Pumpkin Goat Cheese Bisque. Cute place and our server did a great job!

I ordered take out, the Yard Bird sandwich; which was a huge let down because I assumed it would be a whole chicken breast for $14 but it is a very small sliver of chicken breast on each side (like it seriously only covered 1/4 of the sandwich). The taste of the sandwich is good, however for just a sandwich (mostly bread & mayo) with no sides, $14 is stretching the dollar (& the chicken) too far.

Unnecessary attitude from the baristas and front counter staff. Large menus posted on the wall behind the counter have NO prices listed, and apparently there are specific hours for breakfast items? Those specific breakfast food hours are NOT posted on the menu or online.
Smoothie was watery with minimal fruit flavor. I was not asked if I wanted alternative milks when my coffee was made (a pretty basic question for any cafe). Atmosphere is pretentious and dismissive. Muffins were alright.
First front step is a MAJOR tripping hazard, it’s larger than the rest and easy to misjudge. Should be painted yellow or covered with some sort of traction enhancer.
Parking: Street parking on both sides, and a lot behind the building.

I arrived from a long trip in time to purchase the last Espresso Chocolate Chip scone before closing, asked for it to be warmed, enjoyed it with butter out on the patio and declared it the best scone I'd ever eaten!
